It’s New Year’s Eve and everyone is planning to go out and celebrate. All the while, another economic collapse looms over the horizon of 2010, according to Gerald Celente. He has a perfect track record all the way back to the 80′s on predicting trends, and now he’s claiming that the economy is going to crash in 2010 under the weight of all the debt we’ve piled up and that a Great[er] Depression looms out even farther:

He’s been predicting a crash all along, and apparently he’s now honing in on 2010. Here’s a few more of his videos from earlier this year – you’ll see he is quite consistent.

Today’s Glenn Beck episode will air tonight while many of you are out celebrating New Year’s Eve. But alas, I’ll be here slaving away with my little recorder and posting it right after the show (hopefully by 11:30 if there are no problems). I know, sad. But for all you party goers who want to go out and bring the new year in in style, the Glenn Beck Show will be here waiting on you when you wake up tomorrow…..afternoon.

To all of you who come by every day to watch the Glenn Beck Show, I want to say thank you. I’ve gotten emails from many thankful people who simply don’t have access to such a great show and you guys are the reason I post it. Beck seems to be the only one really digging in for truth because he cares about our great republic, and it’s a show that everyone should be able to watch.

So here’s to another great year in 2010 of Glenn Beck! (and I’m crossing my fingers that FNC continues to let me post it daily).

Oh, btw, I think all of you should make a New Year’s resolution to comment more! I love reading what you guys think of the Glenn Beck Show that day.  But no pressure if you want to remain….anonymous.

Conservative radio talk host Rush Limbaugh was rushed to a Honolulu hospital on Wednesday afternoon with chest pains, sources told KITV.

[KITV UPDATED the following details] Limbaugh was sitting in a chair in his ninth-floor hotel room at the Kahala when emergency crews arrived, sources said. He told medical crews that he was taking medication for a back problem, sources said. [end update]

Paramedics responded to the call at 2:41 p.m. at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.

Limbaugh suffered from chest pains, sources said. Paramedics treated him and took him to Queen’s Medical Center in serious condition.

He was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.

TMZ Update: According to the report, Rush was in “serious condition” when he arrived to the hospital.

UPDATE: It’s been confirmed paramedics did respond to the Hotel Kahala at 2:41 to attend to someone with “chest discomfort.”

UPDATE: From Opie Radio on Twitter: Rush Limbaugh taken to the hospital in serious condition. My source says, “It’s not good!”

UPDATE: It’s being reported via twitter that ABC has stated that Rush is now in stable condition.

UPDATE: KITV has confirmed that Rush will not be released on Wednesday night.

Miscellaneous Information update from TMZ: Sources inside the hotel tell TMZ the hotel took drastic measures to get the mystery patient — reported to be Rush Limbaugh — out of the resort without being seen. We’re told hotel security shut down a wing of the hotel and the guest elevators — the patient was transported using the employee elevator bank.

UPDATE: Opie Radio on Twitter is reporting “My source is saying that there will be a statement from the hospital within the hour on Rush Limbaugh!”

UPDATE via CNN at 1:16am est: Rush was admitted to and is resting comfortably in a Honolulu hospital today after suffering chest pains. Rush appreciates your prayers and well wishes and he will keep you updated via Rushlimbaugh.com and on his radio program.”

US Navy Commander Kirk Lippold was the commander of the USS Cole when it was attacked in Yemen in 2000, where 17 soldiers lost their lives when Al Qaeda blew a whole in our navy ship that was under his command. So when this man speaks about our response to terror, I listen. And he has some advice for Obama which I hope doesn’t go unheeded:

“First thing I’d tell him to do is keep Guantanamo Bay open. It is a functioning facility; it does an excellent job of keeping the detainees safely housed and off the battlefield. It also is a great intelligence gathering center and should be used for that purpose. That’s what it was setup and designed for when we initially went out and did that on the joint staff. That would be number one. Number two – I would tell him that the Military Commissions process works. We do not need to be giving KSM and everyone else constitutional rights and privileges that our troops on the battlefield are dying to give Americans that right and privilege for. So right off the bat we’ve got a facility that needs to stay open. We don’t need to make this a criminal action. The administration right now, you cannot sit there and create a mindset where we aren’t even going to call it a war on terror. We’re going to make the CIA the whipping boy for this administration because of their policies. We’re going to put some of its members under criminal investigation but then turn right around to that same agency and say ‘why aren’t you giving us the intelligence we need to perform’. It’s a demoralized organization right now that deserves better from the Command in Chief.“

One thing that has been a constant this year is that Dick Cheney has come out and spoke against the President’s policies and attitude regarding keeping America safe. And now, with the terrorist attack on Christmas day, Cheney has come out again to question this administrations attitude and response. But it’s not just ‘the right’ that have come out against the president. Ruth Marcus from the Washington Post is not happy with the administration’s response either:

“The more I think about the Christmas all-but-bombing, the angrier I get. At the multiple failures that allowed Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to get on the plane with explosives sewn in his underwear. And at the Obama administration’s initial, everything’s-fine-everybody-move-right-along reaction.”

Below is Dick Cheney’s response – from the Politico:

“As I’ve watched the events of the last few days it is clear once again that President Obama is trying to pretend we are not at war. He seems to think if he has a low-key response to an attempt to blow up an airliner and kill hundreds of people, we won’t be at war. He seems to think if he gives terrorists the rights of Americans, lets them lawyer up and reads them their Miranda rights, we won’t be at war. He seems to think if we bring the mastermind of Sept. 11 to New York, give him a lawyer and trial in civilian court, we won’t be at war.

“He seems to think if he closes Guantanamo and releases the hard-core Al Qaeda-trained terrorists still there, we won’t be at war. He seems to think if he gets rid of the words, ‘war on terror,’ we won’t be at war. But we are at war and when President Obama pretends we aren’t, it makes us less safe. Why doesn’t he want to admit we’re at war? It doesn’t fit with the view of the world he brought with him to the Oval Office. It doesn’t fit with what seems to be the goal of his presidency — social transformation — the restructuring of American society. President Obama’s first object and his highest responsibility must be to defend us against an enemy that knows we are at war.”

Ed Morrissey from Hot Air had Steve Forbes on to talk about Steve’s new book: How Capitalism Will Save Us: Why Free People and Free Markets Are the Best Answer in Today’s Economy

It’s a great interview and you should listen all the way through. Steve offers some very insightful words about how Capitalism will save us:

“Medicare has issued a rule that goes into effect Jan 1 that should cut reimbursement for Nuclear Imaging services by 40%. … Three quarters of the nations cardiologists will be cutting back on services and letting go thousands of members of their staffs.”
