60 Minutes full interview: Ex-CIA head defends “enhanced interrogation techniques”

Ex-CIA chief of the CIA’s Clandestine Service, Jose Rodriguez, explains why the enhanced interrogation techniques were used and their impact on the detainees. He was also very critical of Obama’s dismantling of the program, saying that all we do is kill terrorists now instead of capturing them and learning about their plans. He even raised the question of why it’s more ethical to kill them than it is to capture them.

This is really a great, informative interview and it leads me to believe Jose Rodriguez was the right man for the job. In fact he was the one who pushed for more difficult techniques because he knew if they didn’t act, and act quickly, American lives were in jeopardy. He definitely should be apart of the next administration and if nothing else he should be applauded as a true patriot.
