Cain is most qualified to run the country back into the Black, and out of the RED that all standard political people operate the country like a Charity too long.......Go Cain VS. ALL the UnAble !

Steven you are generalizing muslims, & statements like you just made are likely the reason this started to begin with. People amongst almost all religious/nonreligious backgrounds have commited terrible crimes against humanity - to blame a religion as the cause is a textbook example of prejudice. Quit your religious intolerance.

So are you saying we're in a religious war? How is occupying their country given the circumstances you just mentioned productive?

Even then - your false premise that Islam dispises america is absurd & blatant war/religious propaganda.

I don't see why Japan is relevant to this dicussion apart from being an excuse for trying to expand our empire. America's "presence" was clearly oberved in hiroshima... Others in this conversation are saying that we are disliked in the middle east due to their religious beliefs & jealousy, so how is staying there making them any less hostile towards america? By killing them we are only making terrorists die matyrs in an endless cycle of violence. We're spending trillions on a war that was started with a few plane tickets and a 50 cent box cutter. Osama bin laden has succeeded in nearly crippling our economy. This took al qaeda less than 10,000 dollars to start, and its taking us over 10 trillion to finish. We are biting osama bin ladens bait, and it's showing as China is becoming one of the worlds leading economies over the next 5-10 years. Let these other candidate continue to invoke fear in you that a country that can't afford its own oil is going to get ahold of a nuclear weapon - that they can't even deliver because they don't have an air force.

I can't stand his "look" anytime and it was a real chore to ignore him while enjoying an otherwise good debate.

I will vote for anyone over Obama in the general but Romney and Bachman should be ashamed of themselves for their attacks on perry over his social security comments and the others on the HPV executive order attacks tonight. I was at the Texas state Capitol the morning when the members heard about Perry's Hpv executive order and the R members were livid and on the phone with the Gov and his staff. My impression was that they were livid more so on his executive order than the benefits of the Hpv vaccine itself. After all many our Drs recommend this vaccine now even for boys. The members correctly reminded the Gov that he did not have that power under our State constitution. The gov listened and backed off. I believe Gov Perry learned his lesson about separation of powers. That is something I am not sure our current President ever will learn and that is a serious concern of mine as an attorney. Now i will be the first to admit that there is no question that the fact that governor Perry's former chief of staff was a Merck lobbyist looks bad and smacked of crony Capitalism. Maybe it was but that is certainly not the style of the former chief of staff in his lobby career and certainly would not be helpful in his lobby practice over the long haul. I have never asked either the governor or his wife about the hpv decision but in my observations after chatting with them over the years I believe it is possible that as one of the other commentators observed that it was a strongly held belief of the governors wife based upon her Health care work not campaign contributions or helping a friend out( who at the time didn't need this to help his business anyway) The gov admitted it was a mistake let's move on to the serious problems of the day. I am sure everyone of the republican primary candidates have made similar mistakes. The key is whether they have learned anything from them. I believe gov Romney still believes that romneycare wasn't a mistake. What has he learned?

Well Sarah Palin won this debate also and shes not even declared as of yet nor was she there. You are ignorant. You say they are supremists - but then you fail to understand how that translates into why the bombing occured. Our presence was desecrating their land, they didn't want us there - we wouldn't leave. They retaliated. 911 101.

If someone walks into your home, & shits on your couch, what are you going to do when they refuse to leave?

You have much to learn if you think someone bombed us because we're 'free'.

So what was mohummad's excuse when he waged jiahad on Arabia? What was Islam's excuse when wageed jiahad and conquered most of what was once the Roman Empire? Israel? Spain? What was their excuse in Chechnya? Indonesia? etc. etc. etc. You have much to learn if you think someone bombed us because we've got some military bases around the world... I agree, not all those countries where we have bases want us there. Japan isn't thrilled either, but I haven't seen them hijacking any airplanes lately.

Considering that US Troops along with the rest of the coalition were there at the request of the Saudi government and that great pains were taken to station all non Arabic troops as far as possible from Mecca and Medina both, add to that the fact that Osama Bin Laden was officially exiled from Saudi Arabia, we weren't desecrating anything.

Before Desert Storm Osama Bin Laden offered his support to Saudi Arabia & America got involved in their affairs, Osama bin Laden was offended that infidels were too close to mecca & were descrating their holy land. He spoke negatively of this decision & that's why he was exiled.

Our presence caused him to be exiled.

Our foreign policy provoked the attacks.

sugar coat it all you want - people don't just go "HEY LOOK AT THOSE GUYS THEYRE FREE! LETS KILL THEM!!!!"

AmericanborninCanada

Do you bother to understand the statement at all, or do you just so believe in the pc love and tolerance that is supposidly what Islam is? Do you even understand what I said? In your previous statement, you said Osama claimed to be offended that infidels were desecrating their holy land. Mine was a comment to osama's comment- I am offended that Islam has built the dome of the rock all over Judaism's HOLIEST sight at the Temple mount. WHERE in that did you get the idea that I am all for gas chambers? Since when does being offended equate mudering the offendee? Oh yeah, that would be islam. I don't have something against Muslims- I have something against Islam. I pray for muslims, so don't go presuming about someone you have no idea about.

So they didn't want Bin Ladens

>heavily armed

>foreign

>religious fanatics

near Mecca.

So they went with americas

>heavily armed

>foreign

>christian, catholics, atheists, etc - that don't understand islam.

NEAR MECCA.

what...

Keith Earns

Well there you go, you're obviously biased and have something against muslims. You must assume that all muslims have a hive mind which is anti-american in essence. You don't understand that people are allowed to practice their religion freely on their own property. If I were anti-christian I would be offended if someone built a church across the street from my house, but I'm not & I understand they have the liberty to do so.

Should we start throwing them in gas chambers to end "terrorism"?

KenInMontana
KenInMontana

Bin Laden's offer to defend Saudi territory was rebuffed by the government for a couple of reasons, one they did not want a bunch of heavily armed foreign religious fanatics in their country especially considering the threat they would be to the royal family. Secondly they wanted help from someone that was capable of destroying Saddam's army. He was exiled because he disrespected the King pure and simple, our presence had nothing to do with his inability to hold his tongue, that is just the way Monarchies roll.

I'm offended they've got a huge mosque built on the Temple mount- but I'm not waging war on them for that.

great answer on the epa herman! Let's just abolish it all together!

On spending, Newt gets it. There are plenty of other things which can be cut before defense. EPA, Dept. Of Education, bailouts, obamacare, PBS and NEA etc. etc. etc.

Michelle is so CORRECT! That is the way my family came to this country in 56. Within 6 months we spoke English and our sponsor helped us when we needed help, translation etc and showing us the ropes. The country or other citizens never had to fend for us or were burdened.

Thanks Scoop for putting this up. I tried watching for a while, and even got to do the chat this time, but I guess that's too much for my puter because it kept cutting out. Unless CNN just has lousy feeds. I wish I could have watched more, as it was getting interesting.

Interesting too that now whenever I see any headlines about the GOP debates, it's always showing mittens and perry. So, what, no one else matters anymore. I still hope for Sarah to run.

That's Bachmann attack was a good response. And Ron paul is right about insurance. If one doesn't want insurance, that is ones right. No one should force anyone to be in an insurance policy as a condition of citizenship.
