A setup? CNN’s pathetic excuse for a “voter suppression” segment

A 92-Year old Philadelphia woman and her ‘attorney’ went on CNN to discuss how she would not be able to vote in Pennsylvania because she doesn’t have a valid photo-ID. Why you might ask? Well, the Philadelphia woman says it was stolen from her and she’s never been able to get the state to issue her a new one, despite having sent in her money several times. OK, at this point I’m thinking this isn’t a typical situation or maybe she did something wrong in trying to get her ID replaced. After all she is 92, so it’s possible.

But then her supposed attorney is asked by the host, Suzanne Malveaux, if there is any way to get her a photo ID but instead of responding to the question, the attorney goes into an ideological rant about why this voter ID law is bad and how it suppresses the vote with no mention whatsoever of her ‘client’, who for some reason is in Philadelphia while she is in Washington.

Completely ignoring the fact that the lawyer didn’t address her question about her client, Malveaux goes right back to the client and talks about how she marched with Martin Luther King Jr. and that this would be the first time in her life that she wouldn’t be able to vote or something.

Ugh. This seems like nothing but a setup to me to validate the liberal excuse that voter ID laws suppress the vote. It’s pathetic:
