Another excellent Afterburner:

Are we a nation ruled by laws, or has our government been taken over by a group of modern-day marquis and baronettes who simply pretend to govern, while robbing us blind? On this week’s Afterburner, Bill Whittle likens the recent “fiscal cliff” crisis to kabuki theater. So how can one person come out on top in such a system?

This goes beyond politics, what Whittle speaks of is outright treason; the destruction of America. United we stand, divided we fall and this corrupt regime is dividing this Nation up in as many small slices as it can.

I have to think there are many factions in our great country that see this. Are there no patriots in the media? Are there no patriots in Congress? Are there no patriots in the higher echelon of the military?

Do nothing and wither and die. It's time to make a meaningful noise.

Hey ABC! Just checked my mail and saw your hello. We had the same weather on the Atlantic side, heavy, soupy fog in the early morning then the Florida sun came out in all it's glory yet not too hot. I ride with two friends that I've known for over twenty years so you might imagine the level of trust and camaraderie that we share. Been through thick and thin together. True friendship is a wonderful thing, life is good.

Hope your day was what you hoped for, thank you for your thoughts and concerns my dear friend. Have a peaceful night.

Thank you. I'm getting ready for my usual Sunday ride and this piece, as melancholy as it is, put me in a less stressful mood. Wish there was a way to return the favor other than to wish you a joyous day and remind you that you are never alone in your frustrations. Hope to see you later my dear friend. Thank you again.

I know you're not on right now- or at least I doubt you are. My blood is boiled already. I'm not in a good mood all of a sudden- not from you or any of my sweet brothers here. Just stuff I've been pouring through all day, and for the past 2 weeks. I swear NY. I can't stand stuff that's gone on and going on.

Sounds like we both need a quiet place.... no drums in this one.

Bill is right.

The Conservatives need to stand up and say," no more action in Congress until a budget is passed PERIOD!!!" No aid bills, no farm bills, no extensions, no continuing resolutions, NOTHING AT ALL - filibuster everything but a budget.

But when is too much?? What will t take for the people to overthrow a tryant in office and the congress? How do you accomplish that among the states within the rule of law? Do we continually talk about it yet do nothing?? When will enough be enough?

Obama has made decrees, giving himself the same kind of powers that Morsi has done.

Obama has gone around the Congress to achieve many of his objectives. (Like Romney did to establish taxpayer funded abortions, gay adoption and marriage, during his MA governorship)

Audacity isn't enough of a word to describe Obama.

The right word is Dictator or Tyrant.

Obama was profiled as a 'dictatorial narcissist' by a forensic criminal psychologist before his unconstitutional election of 2008.

That was certainly an accurate diagnosis.

Conniption Fitz
Conniption Fitz

The LAWLESSNESS began when Obama was permitted (by Congress/Senate, CIA, FBI) to run for president despite the FACT that he was not a natural born citizen of two native born citizens.

Breaking that Constitutional law has had DIRE CONSEQUENCES.

Bill nails it again. It's hard to comprehend how Americans continue to let all this crap happen. We all keep saying we want to live by the Constitution, want our rights and liberties preserved... and yet we do nothing but make our displeasure kown on sites like this.

When are we finally going to make a stand? When someone of some significance to comes to the forefront and say it's time. Without a nationally known leader nothing will happen. Sure, there's groups organizing and claiming their disgust at how this administration is handling things, but they don't get noticed much other than to be poo-pooed by the MSM.

In my opinion, what we need to do is get all these groups together and set a date for the march on DC. And it needs to be soon, like maybe early June. Publish the date nationally so everyone knows about it. Spread it through social media (that's how Tahir Square happened). Blog and reblog it. If you don't have a blog, start one... it's not hard, and it's free. Use your email contacts. Talk it up. Get a bumper sticker for your car. Whatever you can do, do it.

It's come down to the point where if we don't want to see America become Amerika, we need to do something... now!

wait until June?--how about now up until and culminating on Jan 20th, for starters?

That would be a great idea, but I'm fearful that it's going to be nigh on impossible to get enough folks together with short notice. I know I can't arrange for time off from work on this short of notice.

I really fear that our government has slipped away from us. Just look at this horrid "fiscal cliff" bill that was passed. It was passed at around 3 AM on New Years Day and NOBODY had a chance to actually see the bill, let alone read it or debate it. This was a deal cooked up between two people, Joe Biden and Mitch McConnell, and the rest of the country was simply supposed to go along with it and have absolutely no say in the matter. The problem was just as bad in the House. The entire bill was rammed through in a matter of hours after almost no debate. Not one committee looked at this bill and nobody could even offer an amendment. Some guys just thought up these terms that over 300 million people will get stuck with and nobody else had a say in the matter. What was that "quaint" little phrase that came out of the American Revolution, "No taxation without representation?" Well, we were just taxed to death last week and we had absolutely no say in the matter. I'm just surprised that the bulk of the population has not rebelled up until now, which tells you just how much junk the American people are willing to swallow. Maybe THAT is the problem. We don't make our voices heard, so they keep pulling stunts like this.

deTocqueville1

Bill is excellent as always if somewhat depressing. It is now more important than ever for the grass roots, the average Jane and Joe to get involved. It appears the GOPe has a death wish so it seems clearer with each passing day that it will not be reformed. It chooses not to be! So it will be incumbent upon patriots everywhere to organize and structure the real opposition to Washington so that they can elect conservatives and libertarians in 2114.

Libertarians are way too close to liberals for my liking so I'll pass on that and stick to finding strong conservatives.

None of that matters. Conservatives will do nothing as they already have. Christians will do nothing as they already have. None of this would be happening otherwise. Quit blaming Democrats and place the blame where it should be.

Excellent stuff by Bill Whittle.

This clip should be the basis for others to make into a video appealing to and understandable by the low-information voters.

Conservatives have already woken up to this lawless regime - it is time to rip the soft, warm bedclothes off the low information voters to wake them up as well.

(You all remember how your mum got you out of bed when you were a teenie, intent on a loooong lay-in!)

It's a great pity that the conservative super-rich apparently cannot band together to set up media (pop magazines, TV Channels) for those low information voters, to get our message across.

Our problem is not one that can be resolved by man but one that can be resolved by God alone. We have walked away from God and He has lifted His Hand of protection from over us. I have been angry and frustrated over the whole situation in the country but there come a time where I have to step back and ask myself if God is not allowing all this to happen. This is that time! I believe that while it is a play-pretend for the current administration to start taxing the rich and redistribute the wealth, sooner or later even the poor, the least of us will be taxed! We are living the days of the wicked king Rehoboam. The only answer is to turn to God and ask Him to heal our land. We are going to go through very bad times first before everything rebounds. My prayer is that God puts a hunger in the heart of all Americans to seek Him but before we all realize that we need God, it is going to be a very difficult road.

'Are we a nation ruled by laws?'

You know, I've been thinking that ever since this 'national conversation' about gun laws got hot and heavy. It is coming to a head in Illinois and I often wonder what I will do when they come knocking at my door to say, "It's the law. Give up your guns."

Will I meekly say 'yes, sir' and slink away in the dark corner? I would never be able to live with my conscience if I did that.

Will I stand my ground, declare that it is my constitutional right, and refuse to yield? I know I will be arrested, hauled off to jail and declared a felon (thus giving up both my rights to own guns and my right to vote). It is a scary proposition.

What's important is not what I would do, but rather what we will do as a people. What we do must be firm, it must be right, and it must be very, very public. We must stand together loud and strong or surely we will fall separately, one lone patriot after another.

You know... I'm getting pretty sick and tired of hearing abvout how many ways and how many times we're being screwed by the beast called Obama and this reprobate congress. I'm tired of hearing how they are disobeying the law, stealing from America and getting away with it. This is not America.

And when I think that this criminal, this imposter was re-elected...

When will these liars, cheats and thieves be locked up? When will they pay for their sins while still here on this earth? When is all this crap going to end?

I hope we get to a place where the Rush Limbaugh's, Mark Levin's, Bill Whittle's and all the other conservative great thinkers start coming up with ideas and plans - I hope they help America to organize and stop this insanity.

Neal Boortz this morning was asked a similar question today on his radio program... he basically said to join good organizations like the NRA, the Tea Party, or other worthy institutions... to band together and get busy. I have and will continue to do this...

But man, I'm quickly reaching critical mass... I can't keep hearing about the next horrible thing they're doing to us without hearing about the next noble/patriotic thing we're doing to them for a little balance.

POLITICIANS ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES breaking the Law and scamming the taxpayer.

Read this story about real estate fraud by citizens:

http://legalinsurrection.com/2013/01/this-is-not-your-forefathers-united-states-of-america/

Then look at the welfare fraud in this state where many thousands recipients can't be found, may be dead, or never have existed: http://bostonherald.com/news_opinion/local_coverage/2013/01/welfare_recipients_‘missing’

Everybody and their brother seems to be defrauding somebody, especially the taxpayer…

Medicaid/Medicare fraud, Food Stamp and Welfare Benefits fraud, unemployment benefits fraud…congressional insider trading fraud, crony capitalism and kickbacks, and equity/corporate (think Romney/Bain) sort of fraud, getting rich playing games with taxpayer dollars.

We live in a culture...

- where Kim and Kanye (stories say her baby may not be his, but Kris somebody's.) are normal

- where Obama and Hillary are 'the most admired' and

- where lesbians can adopt 8 children, have another baby by a sperm donor, then sue him for paternity after they split.

- where druggies, spitting, assaulting, rutting, raping and defecating on the street at OWS win the praise of our President and the media

- where Islamic terrorists are funded by our nation, but the Tea Party is called terrorists.

Sober_Thinking

Are you trying to cheer me up? :)

I accept that... all of this has been bad news and further evidence of the decay of America. I'd just like to see some progress with fixing America's soul once in a while. It's been getting harder and harder to not be depressed and angry all the time... and the continual stream of "look at what they're doing now" stories is crushing me. Without my faith in God... I'd be completely lost.

I just hope that during this next miserable 4 years... that we can start to see some progress... some waking up and some turning back towards the light and what made America so great. Especially because in my heart... I fear that things will get worse and worse... and if we don't fix things and expose the evil and corruption... that as Neil Boortz said yesterday on his radio program, "I believe it's already too late." - It will indeed be too late.

Then there's nothing left to do but tarry a while longer until the Lord returns... because America and world will be completely lost.

So hopefully, the next 4 years will be a conservative and religious revival and hopefully, Lord Willing, we will see people on fire to restore America. Of course, then I might complain about all the stories of rainbows and butterflies... ;)

badbadlibs

That's an upside down world you described.

God says "woe" unto those who call evil good and good evil. When God says "woe", there is no place to hide:

"where druggies, spitting, assaulting, rutting, raping and defecating on the street at OWS win the praise of our President and the media"

Instapundit, Rush, and Bill Whittle have touched on that recently. The idea was to pool Conservative monies to buy newspapers, TV networks, radio stations, and magazines. I like the idea, but if we don't nip in the bud the propaganda our kids get in school and at Universities, we will forever be salmon swimming upstream. I wish I had a better idea to offer up, but for now, I am stumped.
