I've seen one of those VOR's out in the middle of my midwestern cornfields just south of Rockford, Il and for years have wondered what the heck it was. Thanks, Bill (and TRS), for solving another one of life's many mysteries. We never stop learning in life. :)
On a flight from Tel Aviv to Toronto years ago, we were informed that there was wheel trouble and the plane was being rerouted to the closest airport (that was Amsterdam)The stewardesses started handing out drinks like drunken sailors...then the oxygen masks came down and we had to put our heads between our legs and prepare for an emergency landing. Turns out it wasn't wheel trouble, we blew an engine in mid-air.
Oh my!
It must have been difficult to continue drinking with your head between your knees :)
I would have asked for a straw ;)
RS, just tried to see the post of the black drone. attempted several times. the post will not load.
Thank you for posting this. I appreciate the opportunities your provide here not only to interact with our fellow conservative brothers and sisters but also the opportunity to learn about different subjects from the posts and each other. That was fascinating and not something I had ever learned. I love learning and understanding new information. Educating yourself should be a life long goal. I know it is one of mine. Thank you, TRS!
Open thread statement before watching Whittle:
We need to ban the capital letter L, because if you turn it one quarter turn clockwise, it looks like a pistol.
Also, Oklahoma and Florida must give their Panhandles to Texas and Alabama respectively. If you oppose this Modest Proposal, you want children to be shot.
And we're keeping an eye on Nebraska, just in case.
When my oldest child was little and learning geography, he said that Louisiana looked like a dirty sock and Florida looked like a gun. Glad he was never in public school!
I have to join in with the others to say you always make me laugh. No easy feat some days :)
Thanks myBear. You made me laugh first part of the day. That's quite a feat. :-D
You always make me laugh. Everyday. Extra-specially on days that I need it. Days like today. You are a treasure!
