Bill, thank you. It is refreshing to hear the truth said with conviction. My youngest son is a serviceman. As a former teacher, it was our pleasure to have veterans come in to speak. I begged my students to listen to their elders. It is sickening to hear this indoctrination has reached the military. It sickened my husband and I to hear a chaplain, at an on base chapel, pray for the end to the Second Amendment. The indoctrination is everywhere now, as evidenced by Westpoint yesterday. God help us.
Sure we have all these new sources of clean energy, but with Obama controlling the EPA and Congress, we're not going to be using much of it. All of the energy advances are being made on private property, NOT government-owned land. There's a reason for that. The government can control public property and therefore prevent any energy development, which is what Obama and his minions want. And it's disgusting that Obama is promoting energy policies that keep us MORE dependent on foreign oil, rather than develop our own resources that can give Americans a lot of jobs. But a good job would make Americans too independent, don't ch'ya know. Keep those people dependent on the government dole. It's what the Democrats want and do best.
O is 'half way done' - but how much will we be able to undo later?
Btw, not all "young people don't care about learning." I know many young people who work hard and have a goal, most of whom happen to be homeschooled. A big problem they all face is the indoctrination at the colleges. My physics-major son is required to take several humanities and 'writing' classes that are all about indoctrinating him in liberalism. He finds it difficult and depressing. Most of the other students in class swallow it whole, because it's the same kind of stuff they've been getting in public school, and in the media culture. The liberals are mis-educating our kids faster than we can correct them.
When the monster raises his hand and is sworn in without a Bible, he will be exactly half way done. I find the thought of that encouraging.
It's always refreshing to listen to Bill Whittle.
The most qualified person to help someone defeat alcoholism, is a recovered alcoholic.
The most qualified person to draw a liberal to embrace conservative values is a 'recovered' liberal; and that is something we have in men like Bill Whittle.
Thanks Bill, for always keeping the glass half full.
Bill Whittle has got a way of saying things that brings sense to the semingly unsensible. Loved the wealth of knowledge of the retired being wasted. So true. When I was 12 years old two 80 year young carpenters took me under their wings for three months as a helper one summer school break. Worked that business most of my working life and was amazed at how little some supposedly experienced carpenters knew about being a carpenter. I was lucky they took the time to answer my questions and explain the reasoning behind why they did it "that" way. I was a very inquisitive boy, they had to have had a lot of patience as I'm sure they heard me say why so many times that summer they regretted taking me on. I have never forgotten what they taught me and it served me well throughout my career. Disturbing thing today is a lot of the young people just couldn't care less about learning.
All young people care about now is some meaningless plaque hanging on their wall and 15 minutes of fame.
I am pleased to see him enthusiastic about this untapped wealth of resources that we have all around us. What makes me cry out in anguish is the fact that we are not allowed to use them.
Here we sit with our worst unemployment ever, a country deep in debt and falling rapidly over the cliff, when all along there is a solution to our dilemma - a prized tiara resting at our feet - and nary a politician with one lick of sense to pick it up and use it.
Perhaps we will survive four more years (I fear, however, the bottom is too close). Let's pray to God that we can outlast this egregious fundamental transformation that is occuring and come out on the other side a better, stronger, more God-fearing and decent nation.
A cleansing is in order.
Bawny Fwank could've picked up that prized tiara before he retired and done something rational with it.
You know what they say...if the tiara fits...
Great post :-)
Speaking of ole Bawny:
