Al Gore: Make that 2 Lies.

On May 15, Al Gore spoke on CNN and not only said that he waited 2 years to criticize Bush but also accused Cheney of invading a country that wasn’t a serious threat to the United States.  Now Allahpundit at Hot Air has covered the first lie thoroughly so I won’t go into it here.  But the second part where he states that Iraq wasn’t a serious threat to the United States, well we’ve got the video proof that he is suffering from a memory loss:

I guess it’s inconvenient to still believe that Iraq was a serious threat, especially in the current political environment.  Sure, Iraq didn’t have WMD’s, but Gore never really touches on that in his speech.  Instead he seems to have been motivated less by principal and more by finishing a job that was left regrettably unfinished. Sounds like he knew Saddam would always be a threat until he was taken out.  Enter George W. Bush.

But like Pelosi, Gore changes with the winds of political expediency; something we’ve come to expect from most of our government advocates.
