Like I said a few hours ago.
He was white, he had 'issues' with the government, was a nut, he used a gun, he was a Nam era Vet. Now, let's add 'he listened to conservative talk radio' to the mix.
Perfect package. If the Huff Po and the other liberal rags aren't running with this 'package' already, they soon will be. ;-)
Yeah... I just don't get it, the story went like this: No information can be released because Dykes has access to the internet and TV. YET... it was quickly reported that "He was white, he had 'issues' with the government, was a nut, he used a gun, he was a Nam era Vet and he listened to conservative talk radio".
During a press conference, we were told that Dykes had a complex story and he felt this was the only way to have it heard. YET... during the press conference announcing his death, no questions surrounding his demands would be answered. Why the stonewalling? The assailant is now dead, correct? What is the excuse now?
It is gonna be interesting to hear the rest of the story drip out.
I'm waiting for the onslaught from the liberal left here, my wife read an article that said the offender listened to conservative talk radio very loudly during the day neighbors said.
It's odd to me, that being the vile, anti-social menace as reported, a lot of folks sure seems to know a lot about him.
Flash grenade. Enter the bunker. Secure the child. Blow away the offender. Next story. What's going on in N. Korea, Iran, Benghazi investigation???? Move along; nothing more to see here. Do your friggin' job on the important stuff that affects our way of life and total being. Thank you.

"He believed that aliens were being kept by the U.S. government, and they were threatening to take America's weapons". After listening to other people in his town talk about him seems he had mental issues for sometime and everyone turned and looked away.
I'm wrong, O'Reilly didn't start his show with this. Probably didn't feel like altering his script. ;-) ;-)
Apparently, the cops were called numerous times on this character and did little, if anything.
God I thought this was never going to end. That poor little boy. Glad the killer kidnapper is dead. I know that's not Christian but I can't help it in this instance.

Good points! I don't like wishing people dead but some deserve it. That guy really is a blatant example of why we need to do something about the mental health laws in this country. He proves it even more so than Sandy Hook shootings IMO.
I would never wish somebody dead either,but he did kill the bus driver who was trying to protect the kids.I agree that the mental health issue in this country needs to be looked at very closely.

Watch for it. It should be appearing on your favorite liberal rag anytime now. I sat down to watch 'The Five' on Fox and they (Fox News) 'milked' this story for the entire length of what would have been 'The Five'. If Fox mentioned his "strong anti-government views" at least 4 times, Obama and the libs are going to have a field day with it.".
I'm surprised Obama hasn't been on TV yet talking about the need for more 'gun control' in the light of this. That will probably happen tomorrow. I imagine it takes a little time for Valerie Jarrett to write his talking points for him. ;-) ;-)
Fox is beginning to sound an awful lot like the rest of the MSM at times.Very disappointing.Of course they do still have Rove as a contributor.Speaks volumes.
You know, I'm beginning to wonder myself? Shep Smith just made a reference to the "anti-government views" too? His 'government views' have absolutely nothing to do with this story. No more than the fact that he was a Viet Nam era Vet.
There's something going on here. God I hope that Fox isn't going to try to appeal to more liberals after the President's attack on them, instead of the other way around. :-(

It's taking AF1 a little longer to get out of MN after his gun control spew, but he's on his way! Never let a crisis go to waste.
I am not talking about people who are getting help for stresses in life, but those who harm themselves or others.
Psychotropic drugs is not the same as mental illness though. It is only recently that the drug companies have released those warnings about certain drugs can cause suicidal and violent thoughts.
It's best not to rush to judgment on "mental illness" as others have done with "guns". Just because someone is in therapy doesn't mean they shouldn't have a gun. Women who have been assaulted may and should be receiving therapy and I wouldn't want them disarmed. Rapists return to their victims.
Women who have had a baby may be suffering from postpartum depression. Again, I would not want her unarmed while she is receiving therapy. People who need assistance will not seek it if they believe they will lose their freedoms.
The same holds true for our veterans. If they need therapy and other assistance, it cannot be at the cost of their liberties. The effects of drugs needs to be studied much better than they have been.
There is a lot I disagree with Emmer on. I disagree about his take on mental illness not being a factor in those gun deaths. I think psychotropic drugs most definitely do play a part.

Would you trust our local MSM not to publish your name, address, whether you have a permit to purchase and/or permit to carry, names and ages of your kids???? Not me, they are drooling all over themselves that MN is in the spotlight on gun control, including the FOX station.

Wonderful news. I hope the poor kid is warm and safe with his family now, and gets all the help he'll need to recover from such a horrible experience.
I call dibs on his crisis seed bank and bug out bag. You can have his Glenn Beck coffee mugs and survival shelter.
Perhaps you should take the unimaginable torture the kid's parents went through. Might add some value to your outlook on life.

I thought that from day one, when I heard they were communicating through an exhaust pipe. Some odorless, colorless, knock out gas while he was sleeping would have harmed no one, yet solved the problem immediately.
Curious, it's another case where the government can use a "white, pro-gun, anti-government" nutcase, who conveniently died, in order to push their agenda.
