I sooo wanted a Cain-West 2012 ticket! Would love to see that happen at a brokered convention! They are both fine, upstanding men who truly love America and her people and would do everything they could to make America great once again. We are at a crossroads here, much like the Carter-Reagan race in 1980. Then, as now, America was in the toilet and about to be flushed thanks to Carter's incompetence. Americans took a chance on Reagan, who history now considers one of America's greatest presidents.
We can do that again ... if we're as willing now as we were then.
The only difference is, Carter dragged our country down because he was inept. Obama is doing it ON PURPOSE. Don't for a second think Obama doesn't know what he's doing. He does, and he's doing it well. If we don't stop him, we won't have an America to protect and defend anymore. BE BOLD! STAND UP! SPEAK OUT! Americans are not doormats!

Allen West IS the embodiment of the American Dream, and just like the first guy said, the lame-stream media portrays him and every other common sense right-winger as nut-jobs. Every other news show besides FOX is cheating the American people by LYING to us!
Mitt won't select Allen West. There is a greater reason why Allen West is auditioning.
He's trying to show people he is a leader and what a leader should look like. Tampa here we come.
As long as they're not looking through the dark, distorted lens of the media, people usually pick up on the truth. Pretty simple, really. The trick is to figure out a way to go one-on-one with the American people.
That is why Sarah, when asked, throws Allen West's name out there for VP. Like Reagan, he understands the brilliance of our Declaration and Constitution and will not back down. He is a leader who people will follow.
We lack that "Lead or get the hell out of the way and follow" attitude in Washington. The Washington DC motto is " I will lead as soon as I figure out if a majority will follow and they tell me which way to go and we may just go part of the way there so the other side won't feel bad and I will look like a good guy".
It is so refreshing to hear black Americans speak of their love for this country on the same day that black celebrities (who are millionaires because they live in America and because of our free-market system) talk of their hatred for America.
The biggest problem we have in America is ignorance - and those who denigrate this nation clearly have no understanding of history.
America is not perfect, but it is exceptional because it is the only nation in history that recognizes that our rights come from God and not government.
I have to wonder why those who hate America so much don't go live somewhere else...?
We need some one like Col Allen West to fire up Romney's campaign. He is a true American Patriot willing to help to put America back in the right track.
I am such a fangirl of Col West that I would most certainly have made a fool of myself had I been in that audience. The guy that spoke up about how is portrayed by the liberal media is sadly, 100% true. Take a stroll around DU, and they talk about Allen West like we talked about Alan Grayson. I kid you not. The liberal media is so scared of him that they have portrayed him as a sociopathic loon.
He got my attention when I first heard about some colonel in the army who shot his gun in the air to convince an enemy to spill the info the colonel needed to keep his men safe...and then turned himself in for firing a gun not in compliance with the current army rules.

Allen West (R-FL) in which told a group of constituents that President Barack Obama would “rather you be his slave.” The conversation quickly devolved into a heated argument between co-host Bob Beckel and fellow host Greg Gutfeld. “Now you know what it’s like, Bob,” Gutfeld told Beckel after saying that West’s conduct mirrors that of the left.
Wow! I hope someday he aspires to the highest office in the land. He is truly the embodiment of MLK's dream.
Watching the reds and blues, it was evident they are miles apart in thinking. Especially when it came to being the master of your own destiny. It's hard to pull that out stretched hand back in when somebody's there putting cash in it.
As for all the people who raised their hands to say they would vote for Col. West, I think some of them lied.

But woe-betide the person who breaks from the collective by developing his own thoughts about....anything. You will be branded a heretic. If you're black, you will be called racist names, like Uncle Tom and OREO. See how that works? When Colin Powell hangs with the Repubs, he's all these nasty things. When he endorses the annointed one, he's enlightened and wonderful.

The rhetoric is the problem, not Statist liar politicians. That sounds about right. What he really meant to say was, "Your rhetoric is detrimental to my political position"
Conservatism and limited government is a hard sell. It demands more than shallow, emotional reactions to ideas that prey on our basic instincts like leftism. That young man in the front row can't define communism, he simply is shocked at the accusations. Allen West's rhetoric is the best in DC right now.
That being said, he also voted for the Pigford scandal (since retracted) , raising the debt ceiling, the pathetic excuse for Boehner's budget, and the NDAA. I also have some questions for Lt.Col. West like...What do we do with the Federal Reserve and monetary policy? Do you believe in Roosevelt's New Deal? No? Then l, why doesn't your platform support the repeal of Social Security? Where in the Constitution does the federal government have the authority to tax and redistribute wealth like this program? What about LBJ's Great Society? Same question about Medicare/Caid and its constitutional authority. Your website, under "Issues", makes no mention of entitlements at all.
On your Allen West for Congress website, it says this...
"I believe that the United States Congress must restore Social Security to the independent trust fund account envisioned by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in order to stop Washington politicians from raiding it to fund their reckless spending sprees."
I applaud your outspokenness about communism and the democrats. Your rhetoric and story is inspiring. I'm waiting for Republicans to become constitutionalists again.

I love a politician who doesn't spend a whole lot of his speaking time using uhs and uhmms. Its a good sign that the person has the courage of his convictions and has already thought through the major issues of the day.People like that don't need no stinking teleprompters.

First day of the Republican Convention in Tamp FL. I really want to see Allen West play a big role there. The Romney group needs to hear the enthusiasm this one man can generate even if he doesn't pick West as VP which is unlikely now.
Obama is so stupid and is advised by the kind of people who came up with the wedding gift strategy, so I hope Romney is letting Obama continue to step in cow shit for the next couple of weeks before the real attacks on his performance and his lack of courage and character begin. There's a lot of money behind Romney and it really only the last couple of weeks that force the undecideds to pick. With the really heavy shots coming late, one after another, over and over while the weekly and monthly jobs reports continue, he can make Obama look like a monkey, unless Obama gets there first.

The Col's answer was fantastic, and as always I salute him for his service.
If I were Aaron's parents I would be cringing. What kind of parents can't teach a kid how to respect at least the service of a man like LTC West? He should have thanked LTC West for allowing him to be in the same room....
