Allen West: I was glad to see Newt stand up to the liberal elite media

Allen West was asked ‘who he liked’ this morning in the presidential race, and while he refuses to endorse anyone, he had some nice things to say about Newt:

I would tell you it’s a two person race. I believe it really does come down to Governor Romney and Speaker Gingrich.

…The momentum is with Speaker Gingrich. There’s no doubt about it. I was glad to see his debate performance but especially him standing up to, as he said, the liberal elite media. And I think conservatives have been waiting for some people that would stand up and not be used as punching bags and not just take the same old same old from the liberal media.

Because our candidates are being severely vetted but back in 2008 no one could ask a question of Barack Hussein Obama unless you were called a racist or something of that nature. But right now I think that it is about the vision that people wan to present because I don’t need to see the food fight going on…

Also listen to the end to see how he characterizes what he believes Obama’s SOTU address will sound like tomorrow night. I’ll give you a hint, it sounds like Charlie Brown:
