I respectfully disagree. It was time for him to bail out the minute Maxine Waters told the Tea Party to "Go to Hell". A minute of hesitation is 59 seconds too long.
Am I the only one that considers this to be a sign of WEAKNESS by Rep. West?
I say that, due to these idiotic comments made by his fellow CBC members, that Rep. West's (as well as Rep. Tim Scott's, too) participation in the CBC is needed now more than ever. He should confront the CBC race-baiters both publicly & behind closed doors.
Get in their faces, Rep. West! Dare them to debate you publicly rather than tucking your tail between your legs & leaving a CBC that never wanted your membership in the 1st place!
"Reconsidering" Congressman? What has been said cannot be unsaid. The CBC can't un-ring the bell. You're a field grade officer and you know how to make a command decision. Pull the trigger, leave the CBC and keep company with the sane and sober.
The BLACKS have had the center stage for 50 yrs now ... It's time to talk about how WHITEY has had to watch while they eat all the candy .
West is at the crossroads of his career.
Does he jump on the wagon with the CBC and forever be known as a race baiting ideologue or does he get far away from this group of thugs and promote racial unification and, America first. Which is something Colin Powell could have done but never would have.
Should he get away from the racist comments and promotes American unity, he will become more just as famous if not more famous than MLK but totally respected by America for his allegiance to America and American values, something that MLK never could due to white prostitutes and communists that he had surrounded himself with.
Sounds like West is going in the right direction
If he feels this way about the black caucus, why did he ever join in the first place? They've always been full of racebaiters. I thought his reason for joining was to essentially bring in some common sense and a new spirit. I don't think anything would be accomplished if he quit, but I certainly would not hold that against him! I guess what I'd like to see is for his common sense to be contageous ... wishful thinking.
I have wondered for a few months why he never joined them , it would speak volumes if he chooses to leave them , let's all hope he does .
NO WAY....he should remain in the CBC & be as big of a thorn in their side as he possibly can. Embarrass them & raise their ire to the point to where they can't control themselves.
