I reside in Fl-22. The first strike was Pigford. I was irate but I gave him a pass because I fell in love with him and worked hard to get him elected to Congress.
The way he sided with Speaker Boehner and the Republican elites on the raising of the debt ceiling when he chose to go on all of the networks and label Tea Party People as “looney tunes” for opposing the raising of the debt ceiling was the final nail in the coffin to me.
In other words, I refuse to vote for him. We in Fl-22 sent him to DC to NOT raise the debt ceiling and NOT vote for Pigford, case closed!

Is the “Like” button working properly, because that is by far the most likes I’ve ever seen?

It’s so refreshing to hear a politician admit he made a mistake.
This man is the real deal. I wish he’d move up North and help get CT on the right track. But that would take a miracle.

Im still waiting fro Romney to admit some mistakes.

I hope you aren’t holding your breath, while you’re waiting.

“No hindsight!” Silence is Goooolden! Boy, I would hope this honorable man would extend himself to a higher position of public service in the near future. We need it! Period!

Good lord, I hope we survive as a nation long enough for him to run for higher office. We really do have an awesome conservative “young” bench.

West
Rubio
De Mint
Bachmann
+ a considerable list of others: thank God they are serving us in Congress. They cannot all be president, and we NEED this caliber and mindset in the Legislature just as much as in the oval office.

I hope he runs for governor of Florida or a senate seat some day.

I had not seen before where he has addressed his Pigford vote. I now support him 100% again. He may be one of only true Tea Party options for the White House. It is too late for 2012 and we could be in terrible shape by 2016. Meanwhile, we have to increase our numbers of common sense Tea Party members in Congress, State, and Local government positions. That is still doable for 2012. State and local governments are going to be of critical importance. They will have to pick up the slack when Washington hits critical mass for maximum failure (read US dollar loses reserve currency status or/and Eurozone collapses- pray both don’t happen).
Rep Allen West is a leader. We need a leader, and there a precious few out there.

Still love this man.
Good to hear him admit that the Pigford vote was an ‘oops’.I’m still holding strong for Perry.
It would be my dream ticket to have both these guys running together.Perry/West 2012

I’m right with you.

That was great. I have a question on the middle east thing, since West was asked about it… When muslim brotherhood takes over Egypt, and tears up the peace treaty with Israel, will Israel get the Sinai back? Oh yeah right- what am I thinking?!
But then again, if any western nations including America care anything about land for peace, since peace will not come from Egypt under muslim brotherhood, then the land ought to be given back.

MR. West, May I add to that your second biggest mistake.
Voting yes on NDAA!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously Mr. West… you trust Obama with this power not to mention it desecrates the BILL OF RIGHTS AND THE US CONSTITUTION!!!!!

I felt the same way until I waded through the table of contents and foundthe section where the bill explicitly excludes US citizens from detainment.
- Richard Laycock
Thank God the Colonel called out McConnell as the gutless failure he is. And I’m encouraged that he hasn’t forgotten his screw up on Pigford. At least there’s one man who calls them as he sees them.
God willing from this day forward he won’t give that lying turd Boehner the benefit of the doubt when it comes to votes in the House. No Debt Ceiling Increase!!!

I thought it was just us political junkies that loved this man, but I had brunch with a few friends that are fairly apolitical and they all want to see him hold higher (much higher) office. It can’t come soon enough.

Can we clone him! You want to talk about Hope….. Col West gives us Hope we can put the left’s failed Communist agenda back in the bottle. I Love Allen West.

We can support him. Send him money. Tell our friends and hammer our enemies about Colonel West. We cannot let him flap in the breeze as we did with Sarah Palin. And we can send him more money.

This is why I love this man. The thing that sticks out to me is the number of other things they were voting on the day of the Pigford vote. That is ridiculous. That is the definition of big government at its finest.
- bobemakk
I hope and pray that a smart nominee picks Allen West for VP and he accepts. We need strong leadership, not weakness like the Obama regime who is ruining our country daily.
Gingrich for president. The lamestream media is trashing Newt for “historical” baggage. All politicians have baggage if we dig deep enough, but the lamestream/left socialists won’t expose democrats, they love the big zero/Obama. Newt has made his mark with his “Contract with America,” a contract he fulfilled that no other politician can match. He is a true conservative.
However, I will vote for anyone who runs against the Obama regime.

Allen West deserves honor and respect for his service. He has turned out to be much more of a spineless politician than I thought possible. Backstabbing DeMint and Tea Party showed me that he was not ready for another office.
He is SO much better than 99% of the rest of the Congressmen and women, I don’t want to beat him up badly, but not acknowledging Boehner Bill compromise that has stripped $1 Million from our military shows he has a LOT of growing to still do.
Asked what his biggest mistake was in retrospect from his first year as a Congressman, he said clearly it was his yes vote for the Pigford amendment. But when pressed if he would, in hindsight, take back anything provocative he said, he replied there is “no hindsight” and regrets nothing he said.
This is why I love this man:
