Umm... he only just entered national politics. Let him represent the people of his district and let him decide when the time is right to run for President, presuming he ever decides to do that.
West has indicated in the past that, were he to be blessed with higher office, he'd like to be Speaker of the House. He'd be excellent in that role, but I'd like to see him in the WH some day.

No to 9-9-9 tax on income AND consumption...

-You know, before the time when we brought about the 16th Amendment and we created the IRS and personal income tax, we taxed people on their consumption.
- Then we made the decision that we would tax people based upon their income and their production.
-We cannot now have a government that's going to tax both because that would be a heinous violation of what our principles should be."
West concludes that 9-9-9 could become 15-15-15 later.
So Cain has learned from "we the people" and someone who ALSO happens to be an elected Representative, how to tweak his 9-9-9 plan.
Do NOT tax both income AND consumption.

Interesting take on the 999 plan. Going to have to think about that. However, I still believe that the 999 plan would be preferable to the current tax code, by a long shot. Hell, just about anything would be. And as for the concern that 999 could become 151515, that is possible with any type of tax structure that congress gets its mits on.
Another interesting point was that he opened the door to a VP slot... Or did I hear him wrong?
