Unfortunately, by being fixated on electing the first black president, the media totally ignored that Obama was not only not qualified for the position but that his ideology was strongly anti-American. When he loses in 2012, this nation will be even further divided on the issue of race. Good going mainstream media.
Maybe people like Congressman West can help heal the wounds that Obama’s failure will undoubtedly leave.

Black communities, which have some of the highest rates of abortions and single mothers and deadbeat fathers need a role model like Obama ,
because its above Obama’s paygrade to even know when life begins ,
and according to Obama , when that life cannot be ended even after an abortion , it should be left to die in a laundry room of a hospital.

How can we use dear leader as a role model for education when we don’t even know what kinds of grades he got as no one’s seen his transcripts? I’d sooner look at the teleprompter as a role model because it speaks more articulate than dear leader does. Anyhoo- Thank you Rep. West! Fathers in the home, and take the crap off tv which makes fathers look like moronic imbiciles, kids would have a much better idea of a good role model. God Bless you Rep. West!

You needn’t look to his transcripts to see how good of a “role model for education” Obama is or can be. The fact he is half-owned by the teacher’s unions, who are more about milking as much money out of teachers than insuring the teachers are actually good teachers, is enough of an indicator in my book.

i’m lucky, growing up with a mom AND dad! but sadly, that’s becoming a rare thing among blacks.
i think that blacks know this is happening, but don’t want to talk about it…

Allen West vs BHO in a battle of who is the better role model for the black community, that isnt even a fair fight. West is a man of integrity and honor that served his country and put his life on the line for our country. When he broke the rules of combat he kicked everyone else out so that they wouldnt be dragged down with him, he broke the rules to save his men who were in immediate danger, and then he went and turned himself in for it. If that doesnt speak of honor and integrity and qualities of a man to be looked up to then I dont know what does.

This guy only goal was to take a political swing at Hon. Allen West. He had to be drunk or high because he missed by a long shot. Lieutenant General Thomas P. Bostick was speaking on the difficulties of filling top ranking engineering positions. We all know that our schools systems are not producing top scientist and engineers and that’s what the topic was at the time. Basically, how does the Army recruit the best and the brightest, if our school systems are not producing the best and the brightest? So in reality, this guy was insinuating that the Army Engineering Branch is having trouble finding talent because Hon. Allen West, the Tea Party and the Republicans are not forcing President Obama to be a role model to black children. Well, if it means anything, the current Attorney General is a mentor and member of the same mentoring program I am a part of. Too bad we cannot expand our programs because black men like this guy are not willing to be role models themselves. Wow, no wonder our black communities are falling apart with black leaders like this guy.

I just love how West squares his shoulders, unabashedly looks Statism in the face and gives the Truth. A true leader is one that can set the standard of excellence himself and draw others to join him. Cannot emphasize enough the foundation of society must be the family, with strong, principled fathers at the head. It’s the biblical model.

Of course it’s best for kids to have a father and mother to raise them,but just HOW does he think government or black peer pressure is going to make a difference??? It is a BIG problem for blacks, because statistics support the facts that black men have in general, a love ‘em and leave ‘em mentality more than other races,thus producing black single mothers raising a family.Of which I as a child of divorced parents and an absent father myself was rough on any child of any color.This is a major problem for all of America as the Whole family is one of the essential building blocks of any successful society.

In answering the question, Allen West gets to the core of the issue, that we need to reestablish the family so that black children can look to their fathers as role models and won’t have to look elsewhere.
