Amazing: Jet Man soars over Swiss Alps

This is pretty incredible – not only just being that high in the air with a jet pack on your back, but to be that high with two fighter jets flying right beside you.

I just can’t imagine how good that must feel:

We saw this on the local new earlier while we were having dinner. My son said “OH MAN! I WANNA do that!” Sounds like a science experiment for next year to me….. Goodie! Another example of why he has to learn his math!

      Math is FUNdamental! :)

Did you say new on purpose? I believe that to be grammatically correct! News is the plural form of the NOUN new as in, “I just read a new in the local newspaper.” Where a new is a new story in a paper that has more then one of ‘em. How’s that for opened threadiness. (I don’t think threadiness is a word…yet!)

      • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

        That made me laugh! :-D

        It’s a ‘new’ word.

Has this idea been used in a james bond film I wonder?

Very cool, but I prefer these guys who fly with no engines at all! The wingsuit guys from Phoenix-Fly:

There’s a whole channel of wingsuit flying at Vimeo:

If I wasn’t afraid of heights (actually of falling from heights) I’d try this myself.

Since this is an open thread I have a favor to ask. I have a job interview tomorrow at 1:00 pm. This is the first job interview I’ve had in over a year. I really want to do well and, if this position is the right one, I’d really like to get the job. Could you guys say a prayer for me?

I feel kind of anxious about asking because honestly, I’ve never asked anyone for prayers for myself before.

    • Anonymous

Here’s the best piece of interview advice, other than being neat and organized. After the interview, you usually get asked something like why should they hire you or why do you want to work there?

Tell the interviewer(s) that your goal is to produce high quality work and to make them look good.

Your timing is perfect from what I just read. They say you’re most likely to get a yes right after lunch than before lunch. Anyway, I’m sure you’ll be in a lot of prayers from the folks who follow TRS.

    • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

Saying one now 3seven, and will continue! God is Good!!

    • DCGere

Prayers your way. Relax, be yourself, and sell yourself! Good luck!!

    • Anonymous

Asking for prayer is natural, my friend. Nothing to be anxious about! Go get that job with God’s blessings and our prayers!

    • Anonymous

Don’t be shy about asking Christians to pray for you, it is our pleasure.

Lord, be with 3seven77, as he/she interviews today. May you comfort and be his/her voice, and that you give the interviewer wisdom. May he shine a light to others that he touches, and if it be your will, to be hired. Amen.

I will continue through day the for you. I think many will.

      Prayers on the way 3seven77!

      You have my prayers, guaranteed.

It does feel strange asking for peoples prayers. I did the same back in July when I was going in for surgery. I got an outpouring from the good folks on this site. It was quite inspirational! These people are the BEST!

      Good luck and God speed.

    Wow!
But, sadly my thoughts always go back to government and its interference in our lives.
So, I wonder how many laws would have to be waived for him to build that here, and how many laws were waived for him to fly it over the Grand Canyon.
Anyway, it’s wonderful to still see the creative spark in mankind.

Well, that sucks. When I try to play the video it opens a new tab and plays a Goldman Sachs video. What’s up with that?

    • Anonymous

      That does suck!

This man has the courage and vison that America used to have. Now we are focused on class warfare and self-loathing.

Dear God, revive the people of America so they can soar above the clouds again.
