This video is stupid. They both look pretty terrible to me (Bush and Obama). When will we learn that this is all just a dumb game that Republicans and Democrates play in order to keep themselves in power.
Just remember that Obama and Romney are funded by many of the same people. Our two party system is ridiculous and corrupt and if you think that voting for Obama or Romney will change anything more signficant than the amount you'll have to pay in taxes, than your dead wrong. Nothing will ever REALLY change by voting for either of these two.

Most know he is not 100% conservative. Anyone who is will only appeal to about 1/3rd of the country. But I am optimistic that the American people are so angry about what obama did, that they will indeed be watching Romney closely.

Nice video. I did see a couple of contradictions, but nothing that ruins the message entirely. I don't think that today's conservatives would necessarily agree with Reagan's earlier speeches. They would likely make fun of him for being to much of a Libertarian.
There was one more thing that I would have agreed with a couple of weeks ago, but now understand that it is not necessarily true. I am glad to see this video address the currency issue, but we will not necessarily end up like Greece and Spain.
The advantage that we have in having the Fed Note as the world reserve is much greater than I previously thought. Though it could collapse due to the rest of the world abandoning it, there is a big problem with them doing that. With the exception of a few countries like Russia, China, and others who have already begun to trade oil without using the dollar, most countries are actually dependent on it. The dollar is actually backing the Euro right now, so all of Europe won't want to see the dollar go away, less their own economies collapse. Anyone who holds dollars, has to get rid of those dollars in exchange for something else. The dollar is ten times bigger than the other currencies of the world, so they cannot absorb the dollar. There isn't enough gold in the world to exchange it for either, though some countries are trying to make that exchange.
The conclusion is that our currency can be debased, but not destroyed until the globe agrees to go to a new world reserve. I believe that this will happen, but not soon, or quickly.
We will continue to see higher inflation, a further shutting down of our industries, and a loss of our economic strength in real terms, but the dollar has more staying power than I used to think.
The globalists will be able to continue the transfer of real wealth from the people to the banks, and they will be able to do it slow enough that there will be no large scale grass roots movement to counter them.
It is still quite possible for the stock market to crash and the retirement systems to fail though. The lending institutions will have to fail, but they can fail one by one, while consolidating into bigger and bigger institutions who have more and more power. Eventually the US will be owned by very few banks, if not the Fed Res alone. The banks will be able to use government as their enforcement subsidiary, as they do now with the IRS as a collection agency, but they will eventually hold literal title to the country, and we will simply live as most oppressed third world countries.
This is good news. I was actually worried about a sudden crash prior to having this information. Now I have more time to prepare. (I think)

You could not be farther from the truth. We Conservatives embrace, support., advocate, and defend Reagan, his beliefs, his policies, and his very words verbatim, then, now, and forever, as he and everything he said, like the US Constitution and the American Declaration of Independence, are the embodiment and spirit lifeblood of all we hold dear and treasure, as free people everywhere in society and the world know is the Truth.
You try to dismiss Reagan's words with snide innuendos and implied irrelevancy as being outdated and not with conservatism of today.. but it will not work, because it's a lie.. The truth of Freedom, Liberty, and Democracy will live forever, and no amount of time will ever diminish that truth, as the Reagan Conservatives / Tea Party folks of today, who protect and defend it.

I suppose that I should have been more specific. The "conservatives" that we support and vote for do not hold to the same principles. They just sucker us into thinking that they do, and we keep supporting them. At what point do we have to take responsibility for our support of tyrants, socialists, communists, etc. in our only conservative party?
Would the Reagan of the early days have supported the Patriot Act? The recent NDAA? "Shoring up the social systems for generations to come" - Romney/Ryan quote.
How about preemptive war, and the occupation of sovereign nations who never attacked us?
Would Reagan agree with the TSA who violates our rights every day on a mass scale?
Would Reagan support continual increases in the debt ceiling and budgets that are comprised of such massive debt?
Would Reagan have signed "free trade" agreements that were designed to shut down our industrial base? (republicans pushed it in the early nineties)
Now, we have conservatives who support Romney. The worst "conservative" that was ever awarded the title in serious conversation. Conservatives believe that Ryan's plan was really good, when all it claimed to do was balance the budget within twenty years by marginally decreasing debt spending.
If you want to concede that conservatism is not the foundation of the Republican party, in all practical applications, and that conservatism primarily exists outside of this political faction, then I will agree, but after twenty years of watching republicans consistently go against everything that they claimed to stand for, I can no longer accept that they are anything close to what Reagan was in the early years.
You could line up Ron Paul and Reagan and see that their political philosophies were almost identical early on. What do today's main stream conservatives have to say about Ron Paul? Though Reagan engaged in foreign interventions, he later conceded that it was a mistake to do what he did in certain cases, and for the same reasons that RP is against them.
This is the point that I was trying to make. Today's conservatives in office are not "early" Reagan conservatives. They have gone well beyond what Reagan actually did, or tried to do, while in office. Shutting down the DOE isn't even on the radar anymore, and republicans expanded the DOE's scope of power and size in recent years.
I believe it to be a direct contradiction when people say that we have to support things like unlimited wire tapping with out a warrant and probable cause, but in the same breath say that they support our bill of rights and constitution. You either support the rule of law, or you don't. You can't pick and choose what kind of tyranny you want, because government will simply take your support of one form of tyranny and run with it.
This is also what people use to bash Libertarian ideals. They say that you can't have liberty in your personal decisions here, but we want them over there. It doesn't work, because the country will never fully agree on what specific liberties to ban. Therefor, government will simply take whatever liberties they can get past the people. This isn't a difficult thing anymore. They do it so often, that there is very little incentive to quit.
Our foreign policy is also full of contradictions. We want to retain our sovereignty as a nation, and would annihilate anyone that tried to occupy our country, yet we disrespect national sovereignty all the time in other nations. We don't declare war on people who have actually done us harm, we just decide that they are a possible threat and overthrow their governments. Sometimes we militarily occupy their country and control their resources, while installing puppet governments.
If this is a good thing to do, then we should lay down and let others come into our country and do what they want to, just to prove that we are not hypocrites.
The use of force to defend our nation is perfectly reasonable. Having the strongest military might in the world is a good thing. We are not defending our nation by overthrowing governments in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, etc. We are mowing them over, and controlling them without a righteous cause. Going into Afghanistan to get Bin Laden was perfectly ok, but we didn't even do that for ten years.
Using force to regulate human behavior doesn't work, where personal habbits are concerned, that do not harm others. To say that controlling personal habits is necessary for the "greater good" is a communist/socialist ideology. All that is has done for us in the US is help to create a huge police state that gets more authoritarian every day, while ignoring our rights. To keep advocating for these things means that you desire that we live in a socialist/communist authoritarian society with minimal privacy and liberty.
It is sad to me that so many are willing to give up their essential rights for temporary safety. I agree that those who support this deserve neither.
I have discussed this with many people, and I find that they have usually failed to even attempt to understand the uderpinnings of Libertarian philosophy, and they generally succome to rhetoric and propaganda that is designed to minimalize the impact of this philosophy in society. What else would the media who supports authoritarian rule do?
People need to quit allowing this fear that is generated by the media and government to control their thoughts in such a way as to give up their liberties. Otherwise, don't be surprised when we are living like many third world countries.
As far as Reagan Conservatives are concerned, the GOP and their RINO permanent political class elitist politicians like Boehner, McCain, Graham, and have to go.. And yes Romney is one of them.. but at this point in time, we have to accept Romney.
Being Republican does not mean being a conservative, and visa versa.. The Republican GOP party establishment of Nixon, Ford, Rockefeller, etc, hated and fought Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan, as much as they hate the Tea Party Reagan Conservatives today, which is why they collude more often than not with the liberal democrats against us.. thus we have to constantly fight a 2 front political war, on both sides of the political aisle, plus the liberal MSMedia complex..
Anyways, as far as Reagan would do, he would not have supported and endorsed, let alone implemented-signed into law NDAA, and or the Patriot Act, as a whole.
Reagan would also never have implemented a fist strike policy against nations that did not attack us first.
President Reagan's foreign policy was peace through strength. That means being proactive, not maintaining a status quo, like before with detente with the Soviet Union. But that doesn't mean he would have invaded Iraq either. He would have made it clear that no tolerance of aggression would be allowed on his watch, for which he backed up with force that the world knew he was not afraid to use when needed.
Ron Paul Libertarians are not much better than liberal Democrats, and even worse in some cases, and or incidents. Especially when it comes to their naive appeasement policy of non-interventionism, if not outright demilitarist isolationism. That's is their most dangerous element as libertarians, but not heir only issue.

Reagan Conservatives neither supported then, nor do we support now, the brazen power grab under NDAA, and other specific items within the Patriot Act that violate US protections under the US Constitution. Although some of which is needed -ie; essential in fighting the war on terrorism, but it must be verified and the people implementing, utilizing the statutes within the Patriot Act, must be held accountable to the people, via the Congress.
There must be accountability to the people, period. Govt must never have a total unchecked power and authorization over the people.
As Thomas Jefferson referenced to- Govt is a necessary evil, but one that must be checked and kept under control, for if not will destroy the very core and foundation of Democracy, Freedom, and Liberty.
This is why we must undo, repeal, and rein in the massive govt build-up of Obama, just like the undoing of the Nazi regime.

I feel uncomfortable in my own country now. I miss the America I grew up in. I don't recognize a place that where common ordinary words are racist and success is met with suspicion, that somehow you were successful because you cheated someone else out of an opportunity. I miss the days of celebrating who we are and what we stand for. Obama wants us to feel ashamed that we are Americans and a successful people.
I had not seen it before, but I will watch it again and again. I wish everyone could see it. That was great!
