Andrea Mitchell explains the Obama Doctrine

Andrea Mitchell is asked to explain the Obama Doctrine, and while she admits it is still emerging, she gives it a shot:

The Obama Doctrine is if you have:

1. An avertable catastrophe
2. The Benefits outweigh the cost
3. International or Multilateral support

Don’t you love how Obama ties everything to international support? Bolton hit the nail on the head when he said that Obama’s believes that American leadership irritates the world, therefore he wants to hide it behind international support. In other words he’s apologizing for America in effect.

Imagine if you ran your neighborhood that way, that you would only be able to help someone who is in trouble if your neighbor went with you. And if the person’s house is on fire? No wait, gotta get the neighbor! But they aren’t home! What do we do????

I know that’s a silly example but the truth is that Obama’s so called doctrine is contrary to the essence of America, that we would restrain ourselves from unilateral action simply because no one would join us. Massacre be damned. Where’s your universal values then Obama?
