Go Ann!!!!!!!!!! Lets raise hell till this gets done! Yu think they would ever do that? That is to easy!
- http://twitter.com/MarkCooper Mark Cooper
I disagree with virtually everything she says, but here she makes a good point.
- Mikemorrison281
Not sure what was so provocative about that? Sounded like common sense to me.
- truthseeker
common sense ten years ago is now rare sense

They need to put the TSA on the Mexican border where each TSA guy can catch a terrorist a day (at least initially). Then they would have a chance to use all the fancy moves to control terrorists – and they would probably learn a little Mexican street fighting too.
I still think the best way to handle it as individual is tell them you are a stripper and hand them your fee card for groping!

Airports can get rid of TSA ! We need to demand they hire private security companies who do everything better then the gov.
Read this ….

Anne might be wrong on one thing, Martians would probably be very interested in the anal probing.

You are SO WRONG!! Martians aren’t interested in anal probes, only those aliens from Uranus.

Agree with Ann on this. O’reilly is such a statist. I hope he gets cavity searched first. You wanna become a fascistic police state? Go for it, loons.

The answer is quite simple. Give everyone a gun that boards loaded with bullets
that cannot pierce the fuselage. Better yet, walk a pig up and down the aisle
every hour. - DisturbingBehavior
Although I disagree on the gun issue (A klutz, bad shots, and what shows are aired on the flight-read Bristol Palin DWTS angry viewer), would they be serving ham sandwiches, pork roast, or some bacon when the flight is over?
MMMMM…. bacon… - Paulchri
They should make everyone eat a choice of pork or chicken before they get on, and if they choose chicken, they get strip searched. (muslims don’t like pork) Duh.
Or we don’t let any muslims fly at all, and demand that they record themselves denouncing the muslim god on public broadcasting. Good use for NPR.
Or we just shut down the airports. Maybe just let well documented athiests fly. Make them have sex with their choice of several people to prove that they don’t have any moral convictions at all.I guess we are proving that by going through these scans and pat downs.
- http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=770715455 Daniel Tumser
Excuse me? Atheists have no more convictions? The non religious are roughly 17% of the general population. We’re 0.2% of the prison population. We get divorced less often, have less abortions, and deal with less child pregnancies/marriages.
Norway and Sweden have some of the largest non-religious populations in the world today of the western nations and have lower “crime” rates than the United States, the most religious western nation.
The worlds largest and most transparently operated charity was founded and is run by the atheist Bill Gates.
Warren Buffet, another big charity giver, another atheist.
Doctors Without Borders, you’re a fool if you think there isn’t a sizable atheist membership of that group.
It’s the people who think that morality equates to nothing more than following a list of rules for a reward or avoiding punishment which are the truly immoral, especially when they accept Divine Command ethics and can get “forgiveness” for any “sin” and do it again for forgiveness later.
The uniquely scriptural ethics are abhorrent and uniformly rejected by enlightened western society. The decent ethics in religions are not unique to the Bible or ANY scripture.
- Paulchri
That whole thing was just being rediculous. Nothing serious in it. If anything I was just using athiests as an alternative to the religious who tend to have a problem with free sex. It was just one big stupid post.

Memo to Big Sis:
If you had secured the borders and screened high risk travelers you wouldn’t need to violate our constitutional rights. Repeat after me…Profiling is good. Profiling is your friend.

What place does government have inserting itself between two private parties trying to trade value for value? (money for transport)

I agree with Ann that the airlines should be responsible for security because they have the resources and the most invested in doing it right. But in order for that to work this country would need major legal reform. There is NO way an airline wouldn’t cave to the pressure of Muslim advocay groups. We already get sob stories everytime some Muslim gets their feelings hurt. The authority to inforce its own security rules would have to be absolute and not subject to legal review by any court. And that is not possible.
The other problem with Ann’s position is that Islam is not a race. We can prevent every foreign born Muslim looking man with a Muslim name from flying and it would not prevent an Amercian born Muslim named Joe Cooper from hijacking or blowing up a plane. In fact, the most dangerously devout and extremist Muslims are very often converts. Any profiling would have to be done on the basis of religion. Never happen.
What Ann said about risk is true and the only real issue here. “Safety” is being used to defend police state tactics.
- Estreeez
So if airline companies are part of the private sector, why cant they make their own regulations. If a CEO wants to scan tooth and nail and protect his investments at all costs he should have that right, and if a CEO wants to let people hop on a plane without getting their junk touched, so be it. Allow the consumer to take responsibility for their own actions… i guess there is no such thing as common sense anymore.
- Don17k
The answer is because then you have different rules at different airlines. What happens when people change planes/airlines in transit? There has to be a minimum standard that’s universally accepted.

My Biggest problem with all of these interviews as that NO ONE, Not Ann, not Stossel, not even Beck has called out all of the people (like Oriely) that think that “Profiling” means we will basically have a Muslim and Non-Muslim Lines at the airport. While Religion/race is a factor, and it would not stupid not to consider it, IT IS NOT nor it is the MAJOR factor in the methodolgy. More Weight is placed, Where you were born, where you have traveled recently, How long your trip as been planed, and HOW YOU ACT….. not that your a Muslim, and continuing to puch this myth will mean we will never have real security
- Kscotts
Israel does “BEHAVIOR” profiling. If someone’s sweating profusely, eyes darting around, acting overtly nervous or unable to look you in the eye and carry on a brief interview; then pull THAT PERSON aside and pat them down thoroughly. Of course it would take competent screeners to perform such tasks which rules out government employees.
Ann Coulter says ‘how ’bout we just look for the terrorists’? She’s exactly right, because what we are doing now is responding to every attempt the terrorist make, which always puts them one step ahead of us. She then adds that when they start putting bombs up their anal cavities, then we’ll all be subject to anal cavity searches too. Yeah, I want to feel like I am in prison, that’s what’ll make me feel safer. I mean, for pete sake, Israel has a system that works that doesn’t infringe on privacy and it’s only an issue of scalability to make it happen.
This is why American is screaming for common sense, because there is NONE in Washington.
