You have to wonder what it will take for those posted at embassies to bail on the boy-king.
But I thought Al Qaeda was "decimated"? Hope our other embassies are on high alert. Doubt this is the end of any bombings.
As Mrs Clinton was so eloquent to say in her eloquent way, with arms wide open in motion and pounding on the furniture, "What Difference Does It Make?". She clearly does not know or care but to us working and dieing Americans it means a hell of a lot.
Turkey is 99% muslim but the people themselves remain generally secular under the policies put in place by Ataturk, who built firewalls against sharia anfd the islamists. The Turkish people are pro-American, pro capitalist but dangerous changes are underway since islamist Obama and Erdogan have aligned.
This bombing is an ugly sign that the fear and intimidation has begun. The goal of course is to instill enough fear that the people will accept concession and appeasement of the islamists.

Now that al-Queda sees what a true friend they have in Obama, watch for more bombings all over the world, just like this. They are singing "Oh what a friend we have in Barry" and "put another bomb on the property because our friend Barry won't do a thing".
It doesn't seem the muslims of the world have taken a shine to obama and the US like he suggested they would more than four years ago!
I do not think this is so much an attack on the US as it is the beginning of a fear and intimidation campaign against the Turkish citizens.
Turkey is a "muslim" country but secular, and its culture is mixed deep in the roots of the West. The people are very pro-American, and capitalistic but Erdogan is supported by Obama to reverse all of this.
Erdogan needs to create an atmosphere of fear and intimidation. A warning against those who have western/American ideas. This will lead to a popular vote for more concessions to the islamists.
This is not all that unlike the other "arab spring like" subversions carried out by the US administration.
Obviously, we haven't bowed low enough. It was our responsibility to attack Israel for their transgressions against the peaceful nation of Syria and therefore we must be punished. (/sarc off)
There was a time when it was an outrage to attack US soil, no matter where that soil was in the world, and a swift and decisive retaliation would have been in order. Now, the world stands and draws a line in the sand at our doorstep (using their own urine to draw with).
Hagel and Kerry sound like the perfect selections for Sec of Def and Sec of State. After all, with an incompetent in the WhiteHouse, why would we want anything less in other important roles in the cabinet.

The foreign policy of the Obama administration is dangerous to the health of every American, whether home or abroad. My thoughts and prayers are with the family of the guard whose life was lost serving our govt.
