Boehner says he is committed to Cut, Cap, and Balance and that there is no deal with Obama in public or in private. Boehner does however say he believes it is his responsibility that there should be a fallback plan, which Rush points out is what concerns people:

Cut, Cap, and Balance and a fallback plan? Who knows at this point what this really means.

Boehner consistently telegraphs weakness; he should never mention a “fallback position”, that undercuts the 230+ GOP that risked their political fortunes in voting for CC&B.

Dufus. Speaker West next term, please.

Yeah, Boehner needs a few titanium vertebra from Bachmann. And Rush is absolutely right. Boehner’s gonna cave when Cut, Cap and Balance goes down in Senate. He’s petrified.

  • Anonymous

I hope that Boehner sticks to his guns and doesn’t betray the American people and cut a deal designed by Lucifer obama.

NO DEAL!! Good. NO compromise with barry.

See Cloward & Piven for Barry’s preferred outcome.

A simple “Deal” would be a month to month Debt ceiling increase until the Democrats and Obama present a plan with specific tax increases and Program reductions. The Republicans have presented there plan now it is time to hit the newspapers with full page advertisements explaining why the USA has arrived at this moment in time and why Obama is to blame for his 24% increase in spending while the Fed monetizes the debt.
Obama and the Progressives want a Super Depresion.

A simpler deal would be to run the government on the current frozen baseline debt ceiling.

It would fit right in with the current frozen baseline budget the Central Government has been running on because Congress has not passed a new one in almost 3 years.one.

There is something about these politicians saying, “Let me be clear!” I have come to understand that everything said after that is a lie.

Boehner you’ve been hanging around the president so much that his manner of speak is rubbing off on you! “Let me be clear,” pleeeeasssseee!!!

    No deal…I hope so.

I can listen to Boehner and hear weakness and dishonesty. I lost faith in Boehner during the last big deal he cut with Obama a few months ago. I simply do not believe him here.

    • Anonymous

I felt the same way; he’s gonna cave and he thinks it’s the right thing to do.

It is this simple – if Republicans agree to NOTHING – we get an automatic 40% cut in federal spending. Mission accomplished.

Why do Republicans negotiate against themselves?

    • Anonymous

      EXACTLY! Do it you wimps.

Do something for once in your pitiful political careers while you still have the chance to redeem yourselves for selling out your Nation . Do it

It’s ridiculous just how stupid they think we are. “$3.7 Trillion in spending cuts” sounds like a nice big number…until they use that “fine print voice” that you hear at the end of the commercials…to say “over the next 10 years.”

Let’s use some fairly simple math that even a small child can understand. Divide that nice, big number by 10 years…and you have $370 Billion each year. This year ALONE, the deficit is $1.3 Trillion.

    WHERE’S THE “CUTS?”

Sounds to me like you do not have your government mandated compact florescent calculator yet.

Don’t worry. They’re already trying to lobotomize me through the fluoride in my water, the radio, and television.

    Nice man. Don’t trust him.

Boehner is right about the uncharted territory, we have never been in this much debt before, never monotized it as now before, never had a president so unamerican before. John, be strong, put it on the backs of the damocrats, don’t back down, we’re with you out here. We want you to slay the big spending dragon, take its’ fire away.

What a tool. He should be on the air everyday, twice a day, ginning up support, keeping people informed. Instead he daily goes to secret meetings with the liar in chief and his minions. How many decades must we endure the paucity of good leadership in our bleeding country?

Something tells me Boehner is a half step behind the democrats for some reason. This should be an easy win for the repubs and the people, if that was the goal, this isn’t that complicated if you have an iota of gumption…jeesh comeon dudes.

The Statists take two steps to the left, then take one step back in “compromise” with those silly elephants – it is all they know how to do.

  • http://twitter.com/vettegal14 Robin Carmack

I do not like the sound of that interview. We will sell out like always. Isn’t it amazing the obamacrats have yet to bring a budget/plan to the floor in 2.5 yrs, totally stymied hiring of any sort with the passing of the horrendous obamacare, lost 97 zip on whatever Obama’s economical “proposal” was in the senate, regulated us into utter oblivion which kills small businesses, sent our electric bills through the roof, cost thousands of jobs by going against a court order stopping drilling in the gulf, gave us over $4 gas per gallon and WE are the ones who are supposed to compromise??? Go fly a freaking kite PRESIDENT FRAUD!

    • Anonymous

The democrats do not back down – they refuse to pass a budget.

So the Republicans should not back down – refuse to raise the debt ceiling.

What is so frikkin hard about that?

You bet we’re concerned that Boehner is Obama’s life-line to re-election!!! I am very concerned of the fact that John Boehner is the Speaker of the House. The man scares the devil out of me!

  • http://thereactionariesspeak.com/ reactionaries

The Speaker, The Leader should be replaced. They have all the spine of a 16 year-old being pulled over by the cops for the first time. They will do anything to save their smarmy behinds. The GOP is ripe for a Tea Party takeover. Regardless of what O’Reilly says.

I don’t trust Boehner for a minute. Strange thing, listen to how Boehner speaks, the way he pauses and the sound of his voice. He almost sounds exactly like obama. Is it only me that hears this?

Forget the fallback position! The moment he mentioned it, then obama knows that if the real plan fails, then he can try to push him further. Boehner is a moron when it comes to negotiations. He would make a horrible card player. He shows his hand first then proceeds to play the game. What a retard, or should I just call it like it is; a Rino!
