Great news for Arkansas as they’ve just banned abortions beginning in week 20 of pregnancy. They had to override their Democrat Gov. to do it, but it is now law and takes effect immediately:

HUFFPO – The Arkansas Senate has overridden Gov. Mike Beebe’s veto of legislation banning most abortions starting in the 20th week of pregnancy.

The law took effect immediately after the Republican-led Senate voted 19-14 on Thursday to override the Democratic governor’s veto. The state House voted to override the veto Wednesday. A simple majority was required in each chamber.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Arkansas has vowed to challenge the new law, which is based on the disputed claim that a fetus can feel pain at 20 weeks. Similar laws passed in other states are facing court challenges.

Here is a drawing of a baby at 20 weeks, just to give you some idea:

A child's character or personality is formed during the first -3 months up to + 7 years. You see the during the last trimester the child feels everything the mother feels. He sees the world exactly as she does because they share a perception of the world through the same camera lens, her personality. It is God's plan to have the child ready for the environment the mother is dealing with before its birth. This is the latest science of Epigenetics. There are two types of evolution: one is Darwinian which takes thousands of years. The second is epigenetic which takes less than a generation and sometimes immediate. In science class we were told our genes control our health. Actually genetics controls 5% of our future diseases. 95% of our health is determined by our surroundings. This includes our neighbor hood, our church, our friends and the dangers we encounter in our city. The effects of our surroundings places markers or tags on our genome. These tags determine the “expression” of our genes, for example whether they are turned of or on. This is natures response to our surroundings such as a famine. I a small northern Swedish village these responses to the famine were expressed in the next generation and the next one after that. In fact this epigenetic response to the famine continued for a hundred years or five generations. Also it mattered the which gender we are talking about. In terms of the low information liberal’s love for late term abortion, they are murdering a sentient being in the process of responding to its surroundings.

What an evil Govenor. The murder of any life (life begins at conception) is a sin.

Mike Beebe is a scum bag.

There is a lot of good laws being brought forward with this new conservative majority, 1st since reconstruction.

I hope they can get the open carry passed.

The AR state legislature passed a law prohibiting the disclosure of CC permit holders and the Lt. Governor signed the bill into law, while the gov was attending the gov conference, that pe'od the gov off too.

All I can say is I used to be pro choice before I had a child a my own. Now it makes me so sad to think of aborted children. A baby has a heartbeat at 50-60 days. I guess this is a start though.

Jaels_Song
Jaels_Song

Oh no. A developing child has a heartbeat by 21 days at the latest. They begin rapid developing right away, by three-weeks they have a neural tube which forms the brain and spinal cord and neurons are developing. Between 3-8 weeks they have developed buds that are arms, legs, outline of the eyes and ears. Feet, elbows, wrist and fingers are appearing and the babe is 1.5 inches long. Also, amazingly... by 8 weeks all their internal organs have formed, are in place, and look human. These babes in the womb develop rapidly in the womb. Between 8 and 12 weeks, the amazing wonder continues.

That's great news. Here is a more graphic photo at 22 weeks. If it bothers you don't look, but I think if people actually saw, there would be less of this murder. In fact it should be held up at Feinsteins gun control hearings, and they should be asked a question. If you care so much about children, why do you endorse this murder? Or, would you be more inclined to call it what it is, if it was done with an "assualt weapon?"

I must tell you, I am pro choice up until this cell has become a fetus, or in cases where I believe people deserve to make their own decisions with their God, but any thinking, rational human being, knows the difference between a cell that hasn't divided, and a person. I know some disagree with me, and that's ok, but it's just my own opinion.

Way to go, Arkansas legislators! Let's not forget the Republican Party is the only Party standing for life, right now!

While I support the Arkansas Senate for overriding Gov. Mike Beebe’s veto banning most abortions starting in the 20th week of pregnancy, I reminded of the horrific Roe Vs Wade decision by the SCOTUS. This is and should always have been a state right's issue.

You are right. Dred Scott did not stand, and this shouldn't either. It needs to be overturned in the future, as does Zerocare.

Evidently, there still is hope in this country.

Thank you Lord! While I consider myself pro life, I also realize there are

many who are pro choice. Within the area of pro choice, however, there should

be a cut off point when abortions should not be legal. My opinion would be

around 8 weeks; however, 20 weeks is at least a start.

And as to Obama, all one ever needs to know about this man is that when he

was senator in Illinois I believe he voted for partial birth abortion. Anyone

who is for this brutality is not human.

I agree with you. I think in certain situations it is between a woman, her doctor, the father, and her God, as in cases of rape, incest, or other situations, but common sense needs to prevail. The Federal Govt. should have never enforced this on the states, but the states need to stand up for their X Amendment rights also. Please see the photo I posted above of a fetus at 22 weeks. This is a baby. This is murder. People think because they can't see it, it doesn't exist. They're wrong.

My husband was asked to meet Gov. Beebe yesterday to receive a grant for our local area....it was strictly a photo-op for Beebe. He sent someone in his place to "shake hands" with the guv.

We have an all Republican legislature now and hope to elect a Republican governor.

We also are aiming for defeat Senator Mark Pryor who supports Obama in his voting record.

I want zero weeks. How someone could look at that picture above and still find abortion totally acceptable is sick in the mind. Like I said, it should be zero weeks so this is barely any good news for me.

How can a liberal think baby killing is OK but executing convicted murderers is not?Liberals must have been born with twisted brains.

I've always found that amazing. No capital punishment but murder of innocent babies is fine in their world. Their stunted growth, fantasy world, that is.

At SIX weeks the circulatory system is complete and there's a heartbeat. IF we're declared dead when it stops, then why not ALIVE when it starts? FAIL

In a sea of terrible news we have been subjected to, this is welcomed news, the more you see republicans at the state level actually doing their jobs, the more you wish the idiots in Washington would the same and actually fight these abortion-on-demand devilcrats. My only question is how a deep red state like Arkansas ever elected a democrat for Governor, and I am reminded how these liberals never run as liberals, they run as conservative when it suits their interest.

Which is why it is insanity for the Republican establishment and Rove to insist moderate to liberal candidates can win on our side. Conservatism is a proven winner.

WAIT...My fine CA Senator, Barbara Boxer, has said a baby isn't a baby until you bring it home from the hospital! How can this be?

Praise God for the Arkansas Senates decision to override the governor, it's time people believe that children are a gift from God and that as Americans we put more emphasis on protecting them than we do our animals.

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above..." James 1:17

"For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they were all written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them." Psalm 139:13-16

Of course the ACLU is going to fight it. Atheists Consortium Lying (to) Us.

This is good news. It's sad that a baby is threatened from conception up to that point... but "baby" steps.

I love hearing about these cases. Slowly, too slowly, we are creeping back to sanity when it come to the health and safety of our children. God Bless those people of Arkansas.

It seems to me, when the argument of viability comes up, that the ACLU is an entity that doesn't deserve the nomenclature of viable. Can they be aborted after the fact? I could only hope.

Let's hope their idiotic challenge falls on deaf ears.
