Um...did you guys just hear Glenn Beck say he wants the U.S. to be "Switzerland." When did he turn into a hippy? Good thing he didn't want to be Switzerland before we invaded Iraq, right? Who are you people who admire this guy? He's not even bothering to be internally consistent and he is laughing all the way to the bank.
Call it what you will, but this is nothing more than foriegn bankers and our central bank making money off human despair and wars,
I'd like to see him detract the neo-con comments he's made in the past about Ron Paul supporters. I won't hold my breath though.

I guess you still directly touch hot objects since you clearly lack the ability to self analyze, admit when you have made a mistake and then adjust your behavior accordingly.
That is a statement of fact, not a statement of blame..
If he is "Event X was caused because of Police Y and no other reason" that would be a statement of blame.
Facts are the facts or are you stating that is a Untrue statement, that we have minded our own business and never supported any abusive tyrant?

Never have I heard Beck even come close to saying that it is America's "fault".
He is standing on a principle that all free people should. That is one of Honest Dealing and support of free men.
I will never side with a dictator of any type, no matter how much they support the USA. I rather have 100 truly democratic, freely elected governments that hate the USA than 1 despot that is abusing his people but happens to love the USA, or rather our Money and Military support.
OR constantly must be in control, and sometimes that disjoints the conversations. The truth was to be had somewhere amidst the counterpoint. For now OR is king, and Beck is doing obeisance. But give Beck a better time slot and see what happens.
Its just such a complicated issue, a 7 minute segment cant begin to scratch the surface.
Beck is right in saying that WW1 as an event, and Woodrow Wilson's progressive designs on foreign policy before, during, and after its occurrence was the fork in the road that has led us down the path we are on right now. Just like an over powerful federal government which involves itself with every aspect of life and piles mistake on top of bigger mistake trying to fix what is truly an inherent flaw in the idea, the US becoming a country of wealth redistribution and world policeman has only involved us in an ever growing set of problems that we can never mend or remove ourselves from until the day we change our view of our role in the world.
Once a Defender of freedom with the Monroe Doctrine, we became a pusher of progressive ideals on the world.....those are very different paths and it seems America has slowly evolved into the later since WW1.
War is the last option and should be ruthless and destructive as possible. Not a way to find favor with a country's people. Iraq and Afghanistan are perfect examples of progressive foreign policy hidden in the cloak of defending freedom.
Those wars should have been over in 2 years, not still going on. We have lost sight of the true use of war, and the true idea of freedom. From everything i read, blame truly falls on progressive thought, and its tempting faux compassion.
Ronald Reagan was our last President who understood true American ideals when it came foreign policy but it was still impossible for him to fix 70 years of progressive tinkering.
Useful idiots in our own country have been the worst enemy to freedom America has ever known.
I agree 100%, Part of the reason is none of these debacales are actually wars. There was NEVER war declared on Iraq, or Afghanistan.
These Long term "military police actions" never end well, Outside of a formal declaration of war we should not invade another country, period. it has never ended well in history and I can not see it ever ending will if allowed in the future.

I am a die hard Conservative. Over the years I have judged more than one debate in debate competition. This one I give the edge to O'Reilly about 52-48. You cannot be Switzerland today much less even 30 years ago. A Thesis could be written on just this one debate and its argument. That said think about this....It seems the Biblical writings are coming true. There is even a strong case for Nostradamus here. But whatever the outcome there is one fact that is true. Nobody is going to win this one...that is if there is a WAR in the near future. Conclusion.....The World as we know it will end. The sad part about all of this is Zero sitting in the Oval Office not knowing what to do and/or not really caring. GOD help us.

Anyone who seriously didn't realize that O'Reilly was a neo-con needs to just labotomize yourself to finish the dumbing down.
It's all going to be a giant distraction. All out war with Islam? Glenn's actually starting to say much of what I said a while back which is that those who are using Islam for political terrorism are really communists. The people of Turkey who I had heard saying this almost a year ago are probably either dead or hiding now.
Distraction is the best word to describe it. You want a worldwide revolution to bring in the one-world government? What better way than to get religions involved. Nobody gets more passionate and riled up than religious folks.
The 2012 prediction? If we don't reverse this hate-filled path...I don't think we'll even make it that long.
For Heavens sake, those two cannot conduct a cohesive conversation. O'Reilly kept interrupting, and Glenn kept responding to O'Reilly's asides and interruptions. After listening to that noise, I still have no idea what the position of each actually is.
Clear as mud.
Gentlemen: let the other talk for two minutes, then respond. Outline your position on paper perhaps. Slow down and listen, then explain yourself, and consider the other. Where do you stand? Why? What do you see as the best course? Stop cutting into each other. You are there (on TV) to convince the audience, not the other personality person.
I truly like and respect Glenn Beck, and agree with his values. His relationship with O'Reilly does not seem productive for clear thought, however. I really wish O'Reilly would listen and think more.

Could Beck be moving towards having a non-interventionist foreign policy that The Founders & Rep. Ron Paul have? I'd love to see how Beck's views on FP compare to that of Rep. Allen West.
Washington only really was pushing the idea for the first 20 years so that America could build up a sufficient military defense to prevent any retribution for foreign entanglements. He may have wanted it for longer, but he realistically was only planning for the first 20 years.

O'Reilly's arrogance and ignorance sure shone through tonight as Beck once again schooled (or tried to, over the interruptions) him on history, how looking at history overall, we ar erepeating the mistakes of the past.
I'm of the opinion that it isn't generally a lack of historical knowledge that dooms us to repetition... it is the arrogant belief that somehow bad things won't happen to us because collectively we are so much more intelligent than our predecessors.
History major? He sure looked minor last night. It's not just with Beck, it's with other better informed guests and commentators. He keeps reiterating how he's just a simple man - you say something often enough, it becomes reality.
