For your information, Italy's RAI TG3 (public TV) have reported about Mrs Bush trashing Mrs Palin. This leftist outlet (in the '80 it was called TeleKabul) think it is a news worth airing that the First Lady of the War of The Gulf (18 years ago) dissed Mama Grizzly.
This is how much they disleke her.
I don't remember her saying anything about the Bushes except that Bush "kept us safe" during the VP debate.
Mrs. Bush at least has an IQ above 110 and not below 90 like Sarah - she can see Russia from her house - of yea.
Barbara was simply stating the facts. Sarah Palin is an attractive woman that enjoys living in Alaska, and wished her the best in continuing to enjoy the great things about Alaska. There is a subtle dig, but this is hardly down to Sarah Palin level name calling and outrageous labeling.
The half term governor is a "Dan Qualye" in heels. Since we already had an idiot "W" that caused our current economic debacle, America knows not to trust in fools who think they are brilliant. One of the reason for "W" failure was his drinking, Palin just has bad genes.
Palin is an idiot. If there is anyone out there who thinks that she is capable of running this country, you are very misguided. It takes foreign alliance skills, basic intelligence and honesty. Palin has none of these qualities.
Ms. Bush was rude and she should be called on it. I think she is wrong about Palin but I will not insult Ms. Bush over her comments, I want to insult Ms. Bush but she is to old to insult.
I'm not really a fan of Barbara Bush, and never have been. George, yeah. Barbara, no. Just as while I think George (W.) Bush's wife, Laura, is beautiful and probably just as nice and friendly a person as her husband is reputed to be, we are very philosophically and politically incompatible. She's a big liberal, from what I've heard, being a proponent of such things as child murder (called "abortion" by the politically correct). Barbara Bush is probably no better, and should, like Laura, keep her big mouth shut, if she can't find anything more intelligent than that to say. As people know, I won't mince words. Hey, maybe Barbara's a nice person, when you get to know her, but politically, she needs to stay out of it. The beautiful woman that is my once-and-future girlfriend, unfortunately, was (is) a Jew-hating leftist that considered herself a "Hyde Park liberal" (you know: the scumbags that propelled Obama into dirty politics). Politically, we had (have) virtually no common ground (aside from the fact that we both hated McCain, and both agreed that in spite of that, Obama was a dangerous economic illiterate that had no place in the mail room, much less the Oval Office), and I certainly wouldn't let her represent me, politically, in any interview, nor let it be thought that I agreed with too much of what she said. I really like the Bush family, but the wives really, REALLY need to know when to stFU.
I really hope not. WE can all kiss this country good bye if she touches foot in teh white house or I am moving my Canada to get away from the crazy bafoon known as Sara Palin.
We'll help you pack and pay for a one way ticket to get all liberals & progressives relocated. She is JUST what our country needs. Buh-bye.

Explain your position, calling someone a “crazy buffoon” does not explain why “WE can all kiss this country good bye if she touches foot in the white house ”. Explain what her positions are that you think will destroy our country. Understanding and following the Constitution does not take a lot of experience, it’s only 14 pages of easy to understand language. The one big thing the President swears to is to uphold is The Constitution of the United States of America.
As for moving to Canada, the US right now is following in Canada’s footsteps, so if you like the direction the US is going you will love Canada. I am an American temporarily living in Canada.

I agree. Jeb would want to finesse his run. Sarah is guaranteed to say what she thinks and DO what she promises. That is her great appeal to ordinary Americans.

I like the Bushes. They are a fine, loving, service-oriented family. But there is no way in Hell I will ever vote for Jeb in a Republican primary. And I have a strong feeling that I am not alone, in my party, in that.

The Bushes are more than dodgy and not all too bright. Old man Bush and his 'thousands points of light' and the "New World Order" sounds very suspect these days, given that it is Socialist sloganeering. I dunno. Seems a little harsh. I support Palin, too. But I remember Bush with his arm around the fire-chief after 9-11. And I remember his strength in the war against the Taliban & al Qaeda in Afghanistan, and the openly-terror-supporting Baathist in Iraq. He did what I prayed he would do, in regard to confronting the enemy (including his sanctioning of the waterboarding of captured AQ dons).
Now, I hated his profligate spending compromises with Ted Kennedy & Co., and his elitist position on illegal immigration, and his end-of-term willingness to attack capitalism as a means of saving it (talk about total B.S.) ...
But, compared to Obama, Bush was Abe Lincoln, George Washington, Teddy Roosevelt, and (even) wartime Franklin Delano Roosevelt rolled into one.
Let us keep our eye on the ball here, folks. Can you picture Obama with his arm around that fire-chief on 9/11?

Everyone needs to lighten up. Barbara Bush in a direct way was saying she hopes she does not run for president. I like Sarah but she is not at the top of my list of who I hope wins the GOP nomination. People are allowed to like Sarah and not want her to run.

Not sure I'd vote for him now even if he did run AND even if Obama was his opponent.
I once thought the election of Obama was the worst thing to happen to America.
I now think it may have been the best because it is awakening the sleeping giant.
If I was convinced that Obama getting re-elected would create a revolution that cleansed the progressive/communist dna from America's gene pool, I'd actually vote for his re-election.
