This little factoid regarding Abbas was well known at least in the conservative blogosphere… maybe Glenn and company were in a meeting somewhere. Oh well, better late than never.But Obama has commented that Rashid Khalidi (a former PLO communications operative), the Chair of Arab Studies at Columbia, informed his knowledge of the Middle East. Khalidi took over at Columbia from Edward Said, the orientalist professor who has shaped the Middle East narrative for all the left-wing academics in the west with the narrative of colonialism.
Said became the strongest political voice for the Palestinians… and of course, why not… he lied claiming that his family had property in Jerusalem from which they were evicted by Israel. A false claim, since Said lived with his family in Cairo.. never in Jerusalem. Said is more Arafat than Arafat and criticized him for the Oslo Accords signing. The cherry on the cake… Said was Episcopalian!
The LA Times to this day refuses to release a video of Obama toasting his buddy Khalidi at a jew-bashing ceremony where Khalidi threw a fundraising dinner for Obama in 2000.
So of course Barack would call Abbas first… Rashid Khalidi taught him everything he knows about the Middle East. Who wouldn’t have Abbas on speed dial?

Don’t know if the amount is $3 Billion or not but its money well spent for the only Democracy in the middle east and our only true ally. It also doesn’t hurt they have nukes and if push comes to shove they’ll use them. It could be the only protection we have against Iran when they get nukes. As for veto power, what makes you think one veto from Israel will stop anything. Take off the liberal blinders and things will actually become clear. This was only one revelation among many that show Obama’s hatred of Israel and love for Muslims.

So which world leader was so special that they were the first to get a call from our new American president? Mahmoud Abbas, leader of the Palestinian Authority. Seriously:
