If I'm not mistaken BO is the executive and responsible for enforcing laws NOT at all responsible for making laws. I believe that is done by legislators in the house and senate. Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

I lived in Guatemala from 1948 to 1952. My dad carried a gun while we were living down there. Everybody had to, there was too much violence just after the war.
Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.
You won’t see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens. Take note my fellow Americans, before it’s too late! Inappropriate, hard to say, those were violent times for sure, not like they were being pulled over for running a red light in small town USA. They were asked if they had swords earlier by Jesus, but was meant for their own protection after Jesus leaves them, Jesus he knew what had to go down who needed to survive (Peter) and had the power to stop the fray, really do you think anyone else would have been able to stop a group of Roman soldiers after having one of their own loose an ear? He meant for Peter to return his sword to his scabbard too, but the jist was towards those who were about to land the next blow. Think of it this way, If he stood by after Peter swacked a guys ear off and said "Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword" The Romans for sure would have gotten dusty with Peter at that point. But that's not how it was to play out.

When I first read the article here, I thought the "Fools rush in..." comment referred to the "gun-grabbers" as those rushing out to buy guns. Then realized, obviously, it refers to those wanting to take them away...

But, with the 300 million guns in this country about to double probably before these laws get passed, the craziness of that, and the Civil War the author sees...

If you look up stats of countries that enacted gun confiscation, they were at most 20% successful.
If it were tried in the USA, you're talking about a Civil War that the government can't win.
Of the hundred million or so gun owners; even if only 3% of them truly believe that their government has become tyrannical, that’s 3 million heavily armed soldiers
that will defend their God given Rights, under the dictates of the Declaration and the Constitution.
Local police, state police, DHS, and TSA total around 800,000, and you can forget the local and state police from participating. They want to enjoy the unfettered consumption of oxygen.
A vast majority of military are from Red states and vowed to Defend the Constitution....same with ex military.
TSA is a gaggle of “burger flipper perverts” in blue shirts who couldn’t hit a barn with an RPG.
DHS...half of them have families and would decline to participate.

I really do believe that they are putting out all of this rhetoric about banning all kinds of guns, when their main agenda is just registration right now. I am not saying that they don't want to ban them all, just that they make it huge, then settle for one or two things. Registration is just one of the main steps toward a total ban. They don't know where the guns are, and will need to when the time comes to take them. This is just history in the repeating.
Lets be careful not to be reactionists, and lose our head on this issue. Just be aware of how it is done, and peacefully resist before they get too much of their agenda accomplished. Buy your guns used, outside of a dealer if possible. Do not register them. Do not let them control the chain of ownership. Make sure that you get what you want before they make it difficult and expensive to acquire.
They will not relent, because we are too close to a full shut down of this country, and they know it. They are making it happen, knowingly. They know that their job will be much harder further down the line if they don't get the guns up front.
It would be preferrable that the states fight back, rather than the individual Americans. It would be preferrable that law enforcement and military refused orders to enforce these laws. It would be preferrable that the politicians would protect our rights, but that is not why they are put in office by their buddies and fraudulent electoral system.
This isn't just a bunch of liberals that don't get it, it is the entire federal government that has grown corrupt, is now owned primarily by foreigners, and is carrying out a plan to shut down the country and basically have nothing left but slaves to the ruling elites.

I suppose that they do know in some states. Others, they do not. It is probably time for people to quit talking and posting what guns they have online, and keep it quiet over the phone as well.
They know that many police will not enforce whatever they come up with. Many will. By making it federal, they can then collect all previously collected data, and build on it from there.
They are storing all electronic communications now. They are using data points to compile lists on people. They then rate the content and prioritize the possible threats. This narrows down who they will consider to be top priority come time to confiscate.
If you don't plan on complying, you better have a good plan and know what they are going to do ahead of time.

- Gun-grabber introduces bill. It's complete non-sense, like Frankenstein's bill. Ban 4238 things, register this, control that, blah-de blah blah. Only a small handful of extreme leftists will support it.
- Negotiatiate, argue, debate, etc.
- Result might be the passage of legislation that bans the manufacture of magazines over ten rounds (grandfathering accepted), or it might be a registration requirement of new handguns. Every lefty is cool with that, most indifferent people will be ok with it, and even a few conservatives who don't know any better might go, "can't hurt"; so it passes. We get duped into losing a liberty without even realizing it, just because the final bill 'tastes' a lot better than what was thrown at them in the beginning.
Not a single piece of the bill warranted discussion in the first place, but....there you go.
Well, this will be interesting. This administration has used executive order to get around a balky congress before, I expect something ridiculous and entirely unconstitutional to follow soon (after all, BHO thinks he's got licence now, and the Republicans are essentially cowards). The interesting part will be if gun owners will resist. There isn't 70 million jail cells.

I'm not sure how Biden thinks that "Obama will pass gun legislation" is going to work. If the House passes any weapon ban those congressmen and women better prepare to primaried in the next election. Although there is talk of an "assault weapon" ban I don't know if it will pass the House. It better not.
Also, the mayor talks about gangs being able to get guns. Those come from secondary markets and I would like to bet that more often than not handguns are used in crimes not rifles. It's a little hard walking around trying to look somewhat innocent after a crime while at the same time trying to hide a rifle somewhere on your body. Pistols are much easier to conceal.
