Joe, airports in other parts of the world are newer than our because our politicians, (that's YOU) have chased businesses out of our country via heavy taxation and over-regulation for years and years now. Now if we were to bring businesses back to OUR country, with some better incentives, WE TOO might be able to upgrade and update our airports too, doofus!

When we went to China in 2011 on our annual visit, we had to wait three hours on the highway from Datong, Shanxi Province just to enter Beijing because the traffic was so gridlocked. Our driver had told us to expect it.
I have been to most of the major cities in China and . . . it is obvious that Biden has not.
If China has better cities than America now , it's because Biden and the communist in Washington have sent millions of OUR tax dollars to help Chinese businesses while closing down American businesses with strangulating regulations.
If you blindfolded Americans and showed them Joe's hair plugs, then asked them where they came from, they'd say, "This is doll hair! These plugs are from China, of course!"

Between what Biden, Pelosi, Reid, and Obama are all saying, I can't believe we aren't going to get a sweeping landslide in November. I realize that common sense is not very common, but come on, folks. Time to wake up the sleeping giant and give Obama an 80%-20% shellacking.

This isn't a political issue. It's an issue of preference for what kind of city you like. Chinese cities are really densely packed and easily accessable to get from place to place by walking, bus or subway. There's also bike lanes full of bikes (which I'm sure liberal greenies would love). I personally love Chinese cities because they are so easy to get around. American cities are too spread out, needing to drive everywhere, and also not as exciting in some ways, because there are less people out and about on the street.
Also, China really tries to showoff their progress, so their new skyscrapers and malls are very cool looking with new architecture and stuff, which is what he was also referring to.
EDIT: And yeah, it would be really easy to tell them apart because they are very different. Also, you could easily tell that the one with beggars selling souvenirs in the subway stairs is Chinese, and the one with migrant workers driving bicycles piled high with cardboard boxes and other trash was Chinese, and the one with children (sometimes) urinating in the street was Chinese. So yeah, Chinese cities have some good, but also some bad and much worse economies on the whole--due to years of Obama-style Marxist policies.
Been to China? The cities looks nice in the pictures. IT SUCKS. It is crowded, oppressive and souless.
It is not the cities that two-bit marxists like Biden are smitten over - it is the absolute control that the Chinese political elites have over every aspect of those cities and the people who live in them.
Soulless! You hit the jackpot. Cities built in the rapid expansion of the 1990s and early 2000s are some of the worst places I have ever been. They are steel, glass and cement and just miserable. I call them Late Modern Socialist and they are painful to experience. Lanzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Wuhan and Chongqing are some of the worst where the truly historical structures have been torn down and replaced with functionality. Yuck. Even Beijing reeks of functionality over historical.
Fortunately, the trend now is to try to preserve rather than to destroy. I think, in most of the major cities, it is way too late. Soulless and without culture. The exceptions are easily felt - Xian and any city that has maintained its city walls like Jinzhou in Hubei Province. We spend a lot of time looking for ancient towns and they are getting harder and harder to find.

I've been to China. That's what I know from experience. I'm going again this summer for a job.
China is at economic war with us. If you are doing business there you know it is nearly impossible to compete without going there for manufacturing. Now software, design and engneering are moving there. It is an IP blackhole.
Of course China has better cities because those were made in America and/or with money coming from America.
I met a couple last week whose daughter was an architect in Los Angeles. Work has dried up and her firm closed. They told us she moved to China and has all the work she can get.
American talent and ingenuity emigrating to China. That is where we are. They call it globalization. I called the dismantling of America under the anointed Post-American President (and Congress).
All our politicians are doing now is fighting over who can claim the biggest pieces of the spoil.

America's political elite believe that the post-Mao Communist Chinese model of State Capitalism is the ideal model. Sort of a hybrid perfection of Marxism. A blend that has one-party elite central ruling class controlling all industry at the top level. A thriving but shacked well-educated middle class that drives medicine, technology, agriculture etc.. Finally a permanent labor underclass of economically oppressed - held down by debt, ethnicity and education.
Much of what Hussein Obama is doing looks like this. I beleive it is the model the politcal eleite in DC will now try to restructure us into.
Notice that no one in power in our government will defend the rule of law, people, liberty or the Constitution anymore? They intend to remain part of the ruling class.
Notice that no matter what happens, the media never exposes the truth? They intend to be remain in the favor of the elite.
It is where we are headed. Only we, the people, can save ourselves. The politicians will not, cannot.
It is a version of the old company store economics that joe seems to be admiring. CONTROL via enforcement of debt upon the workers. When he retires to China next year, may they allow him to earn his keep as a coal miner. They don't have a very good safety record though.
Wow. You mean that Chinese city that was recently profiled for those clouds of mysterious unexplainable fog? THAT Chinese city? Or the one where those Chinese officials recently had to admit to that forced abortion? That Chinese city? All of those Chinese cities that are reduced to ghost towns because their residents are fleeing to the big cities where the Chinese officials are trying to force them back? Which Chinese city are you speaking about, Joe?

Oh and Biden...china has way more in the way of pollution than we do. America is burying China in pollution and China is burying America in debt. It's a race to the finish line.
America is responsible for her debt. She chose to normalize trade status with a communistic, human rights abusing, Christian persecuting country. And America chooses to keep borrowing from China. Time to choose better representatives for ourselves and not be beholden to China and stop buying goods from and doing business with RED CHINA.

No, Joe. If I were shown two cities and asked which one was American and which one was in China, I'd say, "The one with the chinese people in it is in China. Duh."

Perhaps the Chinese city is the great one because it has all American workers in it now, driven out of the U.S. by the highest corporate taxes in the world, thank you very much, Barry.
