I’ve been a writer for the Tea Party for three years because they hauled away my old Democratic Party and drove it over a cliff. This is the same one that Obama is currently making one of the old lawyer jokes popular again. Robert Kennedy was a friend of mine and nwhen they killed him that terrible Tuesday I left the party, American politics and America. The band and I moved to West Berlin (and joined the USO) where John Kennedy made that famous speech. The folks there still remember him fondly as a protector and a savior for the west. When Barrack “the terribler” spoke there they had no idea what they were dealing with. Now, when they hear the name Obama and they get angry or they break out in derisive laughter. “Der ist aber klein” they say. (he is a small person) Last week the most important thing happened. Jimmy Stewart in the guise of Rand Paul came back to Washington. But you know what? 60 Minutes forgot to cover the story. Just a few months ago Maher gave a million dollars to some liberal cause, can't recall which one and I don't care to recall, , with that said , Maher is already lost and has been for years.

I guess the "redistribution of wealth" really stinks when it's YOUR wealth the liberals are redistributing! And when various state, local, and Federal governments take 60% of what you make away from you, it's easy to see why even someone like Maher is now "seeing the light." Problem is, it's jerks like him who brought on this situation. Now let's see him have the stones to do something about it. Will he finally throw Obama under the bus in protest? Don't count on it. To do that, he'd have to admit that he was wrong, and liberals NEVER, EVER, do that.

How long did it take Bill Maher to learn this lesson? And they call us the ignorant ones? His tax bill is an issue this week for Bill, however when Rand Paul stood in the Senate and asked for answers about killing American citizens, Bill, mocked him. When Julien Assange went on his show and talked about the lack of due process in the age of Obama, Bill talked about Sarah Palin. Somehow, for Bill, the only concerns he can relate to are his own personal finances. And now he thinks about leaving California because he can afford to. What happens to the folks who cannot leave? They are left with the mess his voting helped to create.

@jondos When it finally put a dent in his own wallet. It's not just income taxes that are insane, it is sales tax (some cities are 9-11%), government fees (these rats will put a fee an anything they can), expensive regulation, etc...

The sad part is that these leftists ruin their states with their moronic voting for Democratic politicans that tax them to death. After the taxes get too oppressive and businesses leave they move to Nevada, Colorado out west and in the east from Maryland to Virginia and vote for the same liberal morons in different suits to ruin those states.

Please pardon my use of language. When I seen Maher complaining about his portion of tax he pays I didn't really care about his idiosyncracy nearly as much as I do the millions I'm in line with who are needing a job. Seriously, though, a few months ago I went hunting for a news site and found TRS, and I never knew just how people felt until I started reading the posts. And, there are some very patriotic/educated folks here who refuse to be duped and have taught me a few things. To that note, I'm forever learning. And yeah, I do grip strength as a hobby so it would be keen to squeeze the one living brain cell the he// out of Maher's head :)

Welcome to the site and the growing number of people who have enough with the status quo, Maher and his American Idol President. As for Maher leaving the left behind, I'll believe that when pigs (like Joy Behar and Nancy Pelosi), can fly.
Maher did however make an interesting comment. Apparently, he's beginning figure out that even though he's been Obama's 'water boy', it doesn't mean that he's going to get to drink the water. Obama's 'Bus' is really a Monster Truck and there's plenty of room under it for others just like him. Do ever expect to see him as a contributor on Fox News like Beckel Williams and Colmes? No, He's not bright enough to ever try to earn an honest living.

You have to understand how Liberals think. They think they are the annointed 'elite'. In a royal sense, they believe that they should be able to dictate to the 'masses' every detail of how the 'masses' should live their lives, however, they believe that the very rules that they themselves dictate and support, should in no way be applied to them. You know, because they are so 'enlightened' and above it all. They believe their very existence to be a blessing to the world and therefore they should not be taxed at all. That is why most tax cheats and tax dodgers are Liberals and Democrats. They do not play by their own rules and do not feel that they should have to.
They are always 'shocked' when their own ignorance turns around and bites 'them' along with every one else.

Nothing could better exemplify and solidify that when Pelosie and all these goofy Liberals and Hollywood hypocrites are screaming to 'raise taxes' and pay your 'fair share', they are talking about "you", not "them". People have always said, "If you want to pay more taxes, just do it and leave us alone. But, of course, that is not the point.
They don't want to pay more taxes. They want to force you to pay more taxes. Bill just spelled it out.
