I am very, very, troubled though that the MSM is in his hip pocket and not enough Americans are zoned in on sites like this to get the real stories. Hell, even republicans are voting for Romney and if they had, even an ounce of research ability he would not even be in the race. Shows you how gullible people are to propoganda, even in the modern information age. It seems we are not far from the ignorance in the 3rd world due to our reliance on other people telling us what the truth is.
Back in the day of the founding fathers and up to, hmmm I would say 1950′s, it seems people were much more self educated and knowledgable about what is going on. Now, if a story is longer then a 5 second sound byte everyone loses interest.

Up until the ’50s, people believed and trusted what the mainstream news media told them. It was about then that they started drifting away from it. Sadly, most drifted away by ignoring what was going on, as there was little choice of media then.
Nowadays, there is much, much more to draw from, but people have settled into their comfy little nests of ignorance. It’s so much easier to pick an American Idol than it is to decide who’s a better candidate.
The belief is, ‘Someone will take care of it. I’m not needed in this process. Let me wallow in my own little circle of life.’ How wrong they are and we need to wake this sleeping mass before it’s too late. We are the laughingstock of the world when it comes to what percentage of our population actually votes.

While I agree with all of this, as Bill Whittle is brilliant, I have to say though, dear leader is not a fool- I believe he knows EXACTLY what he’s been doing. It’s the rest of the liberals and general “dancing with the stars” watching, lame stream news sucking population which have been made the fools. If she were about 5 years older, I’d think your mother was my mother in law. It is so frustrating! I love the woman as if she were my own, and I don’t want her to all of a sudden realize the truth of who her party is, who dear leader is, and have her thinking of herself as an old fool. People like her husband, Ronald Reagan, Rush Limbaugh and even Mike Savage have helped to break the political monopoly of the Democrat party. Many years ago, many Democrats had conservative principles. When the Democrats lost the conservative base, it led to the decline of the major television networks and broke their hold on Washington and led to the creation of sources such as FOX News. In desperation, the Democrats, gasping for the power that they once held, started compromising in the worst of ways, finally, becoming what they are today. Those that hold onto the old, Democrat is for the regular guy attitude, still see the Democrat party of days gone by. Not as the party for the wayward special interest groups that it is today.

And most people I know here in Boston have been marinating in the ideology for so long, they can no longer see what is plainly in front of them. A kind of built-in relativism further protects them from the intrusion of reality – no fact or argument convince them too look away from their fantasies.
All we can do is to gather the like-minded (in places like this and in your non-virtual life) – because the truth is, we are more numerous than they.

Makes me sick, too. I come from a long line of military folks. My grandfather was in the cavalry back when they still rode horses, 3 uncles in WWII, Dad and another uncle in Vietnam. Public education is 99.9% of the problem and it’s by design. It has always amazed me how he can stop oil, gas, and coal production in this country and, in the same breath , say that we need to be energy independent. How the blazes does that work anyway?
What he is really saying is he wants us to be independent of the tried and true ways of getting energy. By banning our own production, he makes us more dependent on foreign oil (which, in his mind, makes alternate energy appear to be more appealing).
