There’s been a lot of angst in the conservative community over Romney taking Rev. Wright off the table and choosing to focus solely on Obama’s record. While Bill Whittle agrees that going after Obama’s character is crucial, he also really wants to win and believes that by not using the Rev. Wright material Romney is playing this exactly right and in effect is portraying himself in a presidential manner (moderate temperament, etc.) that will appeal to most voters and give him a better chance of winning:
