Where to begin.....
1. Military take over and government purging sounds a lot like communist Russia, China, Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany. As a well educated man I would say that you are a fascist.
2. "exceptualism" is not a word.
3. America is not a christian nation. In fact, there is no official religion and this is so for a reason. Many of the first settlers in America were fleeing from religious persecution in Europe. The point was to create a place where religious persecution would not take place, and people would be free to practice whatever religion they choose. This freedom of religion is a core American value stated in the constitution (which you have at least heard of it seems). It is necessary to combat terror to protect our nation, but attacking a religion is cut and dry unAmerican. As an atheist I'm offended, but as a conservative I'm ashamed that idiots like you post on sites like this.
What you just wrote was one of the most anti-American comments I've ever heard. We can all agree BHO is not worth his weight in sewage, but destroying him is not more important than maintaining our American values. This is the same error many Republicans are making now, and its costing us. If you let your hate for BHO lead you away from democracy and freedom your letting him win because without these values you are no longer a true American.
My husband was married before to an Italian NYer and he STILL calls Tomato sauce Gravy! :-)
You can sometimes tell still that I'm from Canada when I say stuff like Y'all eh!
Uh, are you callin' me a redneck? Hmmm. You're probably right, but I consider myself a Renaissance Redneck. And as a matter of fact I DO bake some killer pies (my biscuits are not so hot though...) BTW, as I typed "gravy" in my earlier post, I thought briefly about the fact it could be interpreted as Italian gravy. (I used to watch The Soprano's so I know a thing or two - ha). However, the gravy I was referring to is, in fact, best served over biscuits or meat (or both at the same time)! As long as I'm not baking the biscuits, my gravy is pretty killer too! Hope you enjoy your holidays! I'm considering all y'all at the Scoop as my 2nd family & will be thankful to spend the time with you! :-)
If you ever get a good biscuit recipe Is_Sence... can you share it with me please? I have a decent one, but they still taste more like scones than buscuits!! ;-)
My mother makes some amazing biscuits & I put together the exact same ingredients & mine are like bricks. My most successful recipe for biscuits is this: Frozen Pillsbury Southern Style biscuits. Bake @ 375 for 14 minutes. Enjoy with gravy, butter, jelly, or all of the above. :) Sorry - I know my limitations & biscuit-making is on the list... I'd take some scone-style biscuits though. Just add some of "raw" sugar crystals on top.
LOL- I use the refrigerator Buttermilk Pisbury ones ;-) I'm tired of all my biscuits turning out like hockey pucks! My scones though are pretty yummy. I make 'em with blueberries in them and yes, the sugar crystals on top!
True. But there is hope that the Tea Party will elect enough conservatives that the GOP may actually be a conservative party again.
That's because you haven't tried mine yet Joe. When I first saw gravy for breakfast in Texas (where I lived before Florida) I thought it was disgusting. I make mine the way my mother in law does and it's AWESOME! :-D
I am in NC - GOOD food is hard to find - BUT there are a lot of Yanks that moved here
All I see is barbecue - yuk!
The best Pizza here is at a place called Brooklyn South - That should give you a clue
Bread and bagels are hard also - but the large supermarkets are getting it now - in fact I can even get a decent cannoli at Lowes Foods
BUT after 10 years here - I still have my "accent" - So I say "youse" and other things
Ciao!
Merry Christmas!
But do "youse" know how to enjoy gravy yet?! How about pie? That's the stuff dreams are made of! :-)
Joe- if you ever come down to visit Gino, you guys need to come this way. I'll make y'all a tomato pie (homemade crust too!) that you'll die for!
SCOOP,
You are a sharp guy
Can YOU start a -- Draft Bill Whittle for President movement
This man is the best - and would knock the socks off the "chosen one"
He is a refreshing wake up call that should be heard
The GOP needs to hire this guy as their press secretary. People embrace conservative principles when somebody explains them in clear and meaningful ways. Just ask Ronald Reagan. The GOP has no media strategy. Absolutely none.
I would love to see Bill Whittle debate One-bama. Now THAT would be a debate.
Can you imagine Whittle doing a press conference with the MSM? I almost wish Helen Thomas could come out of retirement just so Bill could put her in her place. "Shut up, Helen! Save your racists, anti-Semitic comments for the next Ron Paul rally thank you very much."
Of the many awesome comments made here, I must say that this is my favorite:
"He did not end the war in Iraq, but he did end the peace." Wow - that is such an astute observation!!
The RNC needs to take this commentary apart piece by piece and make a 30 second ad for every point made here and run them 100 times/day. Bill Whittle makes such good points here that I think I am going to go back and categorize each one and commit it to memory for talking points as I'm out & about discussing the failures of Barry. Excellent piece. This post should stay up until Election Day 2012.
Thank you Scoop for putting this up. I'd never heard of Bill Whittle until I came to TheRightScoop. While I've loved all these, this one is brilliant! I love this guy... my Christmas hope is for a couple of things, but for common sense to come back into our Nation's Capital is one of them.
Merry Blessed Christmas y'all!
You can see other Whittle Afterburner shows at PJTV. Bill Whittle is the greatest and all of his shows are top notch.
y'all ??????? y'all ???????? - You are kidding - yes ?
Where in Canada are you from anyway?
BUT
YO! - MERRY CHRISTMAS TO (youse) ALL !!
Yo! I'm from north west of Toronto Joe, but now I am a Florida redneck cracker and proud of it! :-D Merry Christmas my friend!!
