Every since BillO’s first interview with Obama in 2008 he’s been kissing up to him. It was especially noticeable right after the interview and it’s paved the way for how he deals with Obama even now. His audience seems to like it and every now and then he can be tough on Obama and that’s cool. But what is so offensive is the arrogant contempt he holds for others criticizing Obama. It’s like he holds the bar on what’s appropriate and what’s not and condemns and belittles those around him he disagrees with.
In this example BillO and his buddy BernieG are condemning those who criticized Obama for taking a ‘mere 15 minutes’ to do his brackets as “Obama Bashers”. That would include most people I listen to and I believe Donald Trump. To suggest that there are no substantive reasons to criticize the President over making such a fuss about doing his NCAA brackets just shows how protective BillO is of the President and his own access to the President.
When the country’s unemployment is still at record levels (and has been for two years) and doesn’t appear to be getting any better as people struggle to feed their families, when the Middle East is on fire potentially putting our own national security at risk, when other countries are dealing with massive loss of life from earthquakes and tsunamis and when our own country is at two wars on the verge of being three, it just might not be the best idea to spend time doing things that only serve your own interests while everything else around you is going to hell. That is what BillO doesn’t seem to get.
