I believe Mr. Bloomburg is "shooten" for the eastern zone "czar"...under the current regime of course?....
Perhaps Bloomberg could get a NY federal Judge to overrule NC's legitimate vote, because we all know the unwashed masses aren't allowed to think for themselves. Only an activist judge would know enough to be able to tell these people what they want.
Even in California, the people know better than these dufuses, in spite of what their courts keep doing to them out there.
Sadly, young children are being indoctrinated in our public schools today in regards to homosexuality. I saw in a documentary called IndoctriNation this being done. Parents are entrusting their children to be taught reading, writing and math but the kids are being brainwashed. If parents continue to send their kids off to public school, it is highly likely very soon Bloomberg's wish about homosexual behavior being called marriage (though falsely) in this country will come true.

It's not backward if NC residents don't want it. This is a states rights issues and Bloomberg needs to nib out-it's none of his business. Frankly, it's none of Obama's business either. If you live in a rare state that does approve it and you don't like it, then move to one of the 36 states that hasn't approved it. You have a nice variety to choose from.
In the last several days I've seen numerous posts about gay marriage and very little about jobs, the economy etc. Do the conservatives want to lose again?
America loses for each step she takes toward embracing sexual immorality of a certain variety as something it is not- marriage. Kudos for those in NC who voted to affirm and recognize the truth of what marriage is.
As for who is running, I've heard Romney is remaining low key, probably owing to his own record in MA and his desire to garner votes of people who are self-deceived or have been indoctrinated into thinking the practice of a certain kind of sexual immorality should afford those who practice it special civil rights not afforded to other singles who practice other types of of sexual immorality.
He goes on about liberty..."If government can deny freedom to one it can deny freedom to all". How many personal freedoms has he outlawed in his City. Tells you what you can eat, drink, smoke, basically how to live your life according to the Rules of Bloomberg.
Tells you that your being insensitive because you object to a 13 story Islamic Mosque being built next to ground zero.

Bloomberg, as shown by his comments in North Carolina, is the type of person that will, if invited into your home, begin to tell you what he sees that is not to his taste. Your sense of colors is not compatible with his, your furniture might be comfortable to you but you don't have his refined taste. "I don't care if that picture of that woman hanging in your hallway is your grandmother, she is not a handsome lady, if indeed she is a lady, and you should take it down and replace it with something more appealing."

Agree with you RS. Thats what states are about though. If you don't agree with the way people in North Carolina want to live and what laws they want to live under then go to another state....say....New York. Too many liberal Yankees come down south because they want to escape the burdonsome taxes and government that they voted in yet can't understand why it's happeneing. Only problem is they bring their liberal views with them. Thats what happened to VA and is happening in NC.
RS you should also look for Gov Bev Perdue's comment on the vote. She is just as retarded and said that the vote to add the ban of gay marriage to the constitution of NC makes NC look like Mississippi. So not only is she saying that Mississippi is backwards and bigoted but also her own state of NC. Unreal.
Bloomberg is a big government progressive. The government needs to get out of our bedrooms and let the people and the churches deal with the question of what constitutes a marriage and what doesn't. The marriage question is no place for government laws and regulations.

Bloomerg is a diaster as mayor of New York. He allowed OWS to takeover that city and turn it into a dumping ground. So why would he care if gay marriage is legalized in North Carolina his city is the one needing citizens since people are leaving the State for other states such as North Carolina. Bloomberg always as something to say about Southern States including critizing Georgia for it's right to carry a consealed weapon. Constitutional amendment to provide that marriage between one man and one woman is the only domestic legal union that shall be valid or recognized by this State.
This is the wording in the amendment and no matter how many times I read it I can not find the words Ban, Same Sex, Homosexuals or any other denial of any equality or injustice.

You need to worry about your own state, Bloomberg. I'm getting sick and tired of these liberal politicians up North trying to impose their views on other states. On that note, in the past two years the attornies who work for the state of Maryland have decided that insurance professionals are REQUIRED to attend 24 hours of continuing education class. This is up from 12. Can you guys the number of CE credits an attorney needs in the state of Maryland? I'll give you a hint......

First of all, not only am I backward and old-fashioned, I am proud to be downright ANCIENT. My beliefs don't change with the wind, but are based on values that are over 2,000 years old.
Second, NC validated and codified what "marriage" is. To my knowledge, they didn't BAN anything.
Yup, all the state did was amend their constitution so it said in plain language that "marriage" is defined as a relationship between one man and one woman. They saw what a judge can do to the will of the people if the language of the law isn't crystal clear. They already have a law banning SSM, all they did was change the state constitution so some judge couldn't find or invent some obscure typo and turn reality on it's head.
He is simply wrong. The order of the Reference material our laws and mores are based on are as follows.
1) The Bible
2) The Magna Carta
3) The Declaration of Independence
4) The US Constitution
4a) The Bill of Rights.
Homosexuality is not acceptable in any one of these.
