One of my biggest critiques of Bill O’Reilly is that sometimes he overwhelms an interview so that he does not allow his guests to respond to his questions.

Sarah Palin was his guest tonight to discuss how she would solve the illegal immigration problem. Palin starts answering the question, and then a mere three seconds into her answer, O’Reilly hops in and doesn’t let complete her thoughts. Let Palin express her opinion Bill! Illegal immigration is a complicated issue in terms of what to do with those who have been here illegally for years. Personally, I would deport anyone who comes here illegally. But that’s for a different post. Palin may have agreed with my opinion, but we will never know because of Bill’s constant interruptions.

This discussion then shifted to Palin’s “Mama Grizzlies” ad, which Bill says frightens him. I guess women intimidate him. Palin says her ad was a call for women to mobilize and participate in politics to put a halt to Obama and the democrats’ leftist agenda.

This would have been a great interview if Bill had allowed Palin to have more than 4 seconds to answer a question. Watch Palin make the most of it.

I watched this live tonight. BOR is becoming almost unwatchable. When Geraldo came on it was too much. I had to change channels.

What is so hard about this? 1-Prosecute employers, with fines & prison. 2-make it illegal to rent. 3-Cut off goverment welfare, foodstamps & healthcare. 4-remove birth anchor. 5-upgrade standards for state I.D.s 6-cutoff state & Fed. funds & prosecute sanctuary citys 7-Set up tent citys for criminal detention and deportation. 8-complete and secure boarder. Problem solved Are our politicians and pundits to stupid or cowards or just PC? I guess because I'm none of these,it seems pretty simple to me.

Actually, rather than let the governor go on about the need for border security, which she seemed primed to do, O'Reilly gets more out of her by advancing the conversation to what comes after that. He did kind of lead the interview by allowing her multiple choice on those options, essentially, but I think Palin's common sense solutions still came through. A lot clearer and more sensible than Obama's “do nothing” approach, anyhow.

I saw it pretty much the same way- He was giving her the question and the answer in the same sentence. He interrupted like crazy which started to bother me. Hell, he asked her about the grizzly thing and then didn't even let her finish explaining it.

She could have done a better job if she went in a little more aggressively and I thought her answer on what to do about the people already here was weak and she didn't go into (at least I don't remember) penalizing employers that hire illegals.

The border is a big issue and so is the entitlement spending. What to about the illegals already here, not so much- not that I expect any politician to do anything about it anyways (or even speak honestly about it because it can be political suicide).

Like Roland posted above, if you fix the things that allow and encourage such behavior, the problem will take care of itself.

BOR became unwatchable for me several years ago, for the same reason you describe. What really turned me off is listening to him bloviate and talk about important issues and hear him never say anything of substance. In that respect, he comes across as being far more interested in hearing his own voice than anything else, and thus, he acts more like a typical politician.

I have no idea what he believes. I'm not sure he really believes in anything other than BOR.

I had to turn it off. BOH has been treating Palin like a joke from the beginning. He has become a sell out, because he wants to be respected by both sides. I bet you that his numbers have scaled back in the last 2 years. Empty suit!

    4-remove birth anchor.

    this is unconstitutional

An arrogant blowhard and an attractive airhead compete for attention. And as usual, they both win.

I agree. I am so tired of BO trampling all over every guest interview he has! FOX has him in the best time slot for both coastal time zones, and they line up some of the best guests, and he insults them by not allowing them to complete a thought for the audience – and too many times he completes what he thinks their thought is. Grrrrrrrrr! I think he has let his ratings go to his head because he's gotten worse. He tried to take away from Sarah last night, but she's dealt with the great bloviator before and didn't allow it. I also hate the way he (acts?) so stupid with Glenn Beck, and tries to make Beck look like the dummy. I always wish Beck would reach over and just smack the jerk!

Well, what I really wish is that FOX would just bump BO out of that slot and put Beck or Laura Ingraham in instead.

Bill's always afraid someone will prove him wrong (which ain't hard).

He was not interrupting her. She is just too stupid to say more than 6-7 words consecutively without needing help

    Why…?

Why do shallow thinkers and Palin haters bash Sarah with “stupid” words?

Who knows? They never engage with informed comments.

I see how the majority of people think she's a moron b/c the media has portrayed her that way long enough so that the moron independents (which, unfortunately decide our elections) believe it, and now she has been rendered completely useless as a politician- don't bet on her in any presidential race, she has been neutralized by a media complicit with a fascist agenda.

Why, though, was she such a threat?

I've heard a few times on the radio that it's because she was from outside the elite circles- IMO, the elitism is the response to the ‘bitten hand’- I'll explain: During the media's attempt to destroy her in the presidential campaign, they couldn't find anything substantive to use to ruin her. So they got angry as liberals usually do when confronted with the fact that they are populist phonies (which is why they stick to their liberal elitist circles, because there they all agree and no one will prove them wrong- they feel safe). She is everything the liberals and their ilk claim to love, help, fight, and stand up for; but what she did (much like any conservative minorities) is she said, “No, Thanks- I don't want what you have to offer, I can do this better without you [government] in my life”.

To the liberal establishment this is blasphemy. How dare a nobody [like you] say or behave this way after all we've given you, thinks the liberal. I own you!! And so began the destruction of Palin b/c she was the true populist and her story threatened the established dogma that it is democrats who help and you NEED the democrats b/c you can't do it without them, you SHOULD BE GRATEFUL for all they have given you. How dare a simpleton bite their hand as they try to feed us. What are you, Stupid?

Bottom line- they are threatened by an individual that demands their natural rights. The liberal view is that government is the arbiter of rights and not the person so they will try to destroy anyone that connects those dots for the people whom the government wants to rule over.

Removing the birth anchor is not unconstitutional; Americans have constitutional rights- not the entire world. the child is American and can stay if/when that child can think and make decisions for itself. But mamma is still an illegal.

So what is it that makes Sarah Palin worthy of all the adoration? You tell me. I'm not aware of anything “notable” that distinguishes her from the other contingent of political opportunists. She's attractive and reasonably personable, but I know of no unique policy or strategy that sets her apart. There is nothing about her track record that makes her exceptional. From where I'm sitting, she appears to be just another war-mongering neocon who's hoping to exploit the tea party movement long enough to secure a top spot at the national convention. The fact that she's acquired such a huge following, without a single notable achievement in the political arena, tells me that she will likely get what she wants. However, let me remind you that our current President was also an opportunist who amassed a huge following without bringing anything of substance to the job. That's hurting our nation badly right now. We can hardly afford to allow the next election to simply be another episode of American Idol.

I refuse to watch o'reilly , rivera , and van sustern , They are all lukewarm liberials and are biased to their agenda

We don't bash her….we simply call her what she is

She is too stupid to do simple research before talks, she is too stupid to sound remotely intelligent in tough interviews, She is too stupid in pretty much everything she does

Right-wingers are too stupid to realize that every Democrat WANTING HER to run for President is actually a bad thing for them.
