Boehner just gave his press conference I’ve got all ten minutes of it below. His main point can be summed up in this quote:

“It’s the President who walked away from his agreement and demanded more money. At the last minute. And the only way to get that extra revenue was to raise taxes.”

That’s basically why negotiations fell apart. Boehner said that the White House moved the goal posts by asking for another $400 Billion in revenue over 10 years on top of what they had already agreed to, and the only way to get it was in tax increases. As I’m typing this I’m listening to Levin and he points out that this just proves that these negotiations aren’t about the debt limit, but rather increasing taxes. In other words, as Levin points out, Obama sees it as another opportunity to make a big lurch to the left.

I love that Boehner points out once again the White House never put a plan on the table and that was the House that put both their plans on the table by passing their budget as well as Cut, Cap, and Balance. He also adds that the White House never got serious about cutting spending which is no big surprise to us.

Here is Boehner’s entire press conference that comes in at exactly 10 minutes:

Note: I’m not too worried about Boehner going to the White House tomorrow. I think he’s made his stance quite clear tonight.

Default is a red herring. If the ceiling weren't raised it does not follow that default is certain. Everyone knows this. Talk of default is the prime indicator that our so called leaders are purposefully weakening their bargaining positions. The house has the power of the purse. What they don't have is the will to use it. They are a castrati cabal. Maybe people like Rubio, Demint, Paul, Jordan, Bachmann, etc., could be called in to show Boehner and McConnell how to find their balls.

Unfortunate to hear Boehner allowed taxes on the table earlier this week. Don't even know what to say....very disappointing.

I don't know. He wasn't insulting and put the blame on Obama for changing his mind at the 11th minute of the 11th hour. He also stated point blank that the President nor any Democrat proposed a plan.

He'll have to be defeated by 10 points to cover the spread of graft and corruption. You think I'm kidding? This is a Chicago politician that gullible Americans put into office.......

I have to admit, Obama and the socialist-democrats looks more like the roadblock rather than the solution.

Good for Boehner. Here is a novel idea....don't raise the debt ceiling and live within our means?? Lol The democrats are beyond idiocy wanting to raise taxes on small businesses during an awful economy but of course, that would further destroy the private sector that they loathe.

I thought it was a weak press conference where he didn't take any shots at the POTUS that is obviously not serious about cuts. Levin did a great job defining the problem in the clips you posted- right now is the time to be forceful and call the administration out on the insufficient concessions in regards to their spending increases.

Edit: for example- over the next 10 years Obama has proposed adding 10 trillion to our national debt and yearly budget deficits larger than the amount he's proposing to cut.
