While Bolton admits he is happy to hear that NATO will be taking control of the mission, he believes that it is a mistake for Obama to insist that we aren’t taking out Qaddafi and he is afraid that could lead to this war drudging on for a while. Just as Palin said so emphatically tonight, Bolton agrees that taking out Qaddafi must be our chief goal and adds that Obama is flatly wrong for not making that our objective.
When asked what he thought about Obama’s speech overall, he said it was pathetic because Obama still hasn’t provided us with adequate justification for this war and our troops are in harm’s way. It’s not enough for the President to say that we are doing this for humanitarian reasons, he adds, and says that this is the real question we should be asking Obama:
How many Americans are you willing to sacrifice for your humanitarian objections?
Boom!
