The nobama administration screws up again. Gee what a surprise for the gang that couldn't shoot straight.
I somewhat agree with you. I however, love Megyn Kelly. I was very dissappointed when FOX was promoting "America Live w/ Megyn Kelly". I thought they were going to put her in opinion/debate/ news show format like Sean, Bill or Beck. When I saw she was merely anchoring hard news with a few interviews, I was deeply dissappointed. She is one of the best though. She kills Anthony Weiner every time he's on.
My thoughts go towards the domino effect we've been watching happening. What will happen in Saudia Arabia - didn't I read somewhere that the easern side of the nation already was not doing so well? And for anyone whom might yelp - I get it that SA is a brutal country on it's citizens. I'd not survive there. But how will the USA fare if SA looses in the planned March 11th protests?
Sure this thread is about Libya, and I do think the %^&*(!# dumb sanctions are useless. I've no input as to how to stop things over there.. too many various tribes to blindly hope a newly setup gov will solve things quickly. If ever.
I wasn't comfortable with any of this since Egypt protests. Commented here on having stayed up the night before Mubarak was supposedly going to step down - watching twit's of other countries planned demonstrations etc.
This round I am going to stick my neck out with this post before we see what happens in Saudia Arabia. Way things have been going .. well.. what happens if the SA Royal family looses their grip on the nation? Who would control the oil taps? When I look around my home and elsewhere these days often what I see are the things we take for granted that are made from, produced by, or delivered with... OIL. Actually I wonder.. what do I own that has in no way been touched by oil? What does anyone own that has not been touched by oil? Not much.
Sanctions my arse. WE are the ones being sanctioned with the lack of oil drilling permits in the USA. That is the sanction we need LIFTED. Yesterday would not be soon enough for me to see that happen. I'd settle for next week. Why are we watching this domino effect AND remaining shackled by our own gov refusing to let us be self sustaining with oil?
My heart breaks for all folks hit hard by what is happening in our world. Past, present and future.
Short term is stocking up on as much of everything one needs as possible - survival style. And to help ourselves long term is to get those permits moving to produce our own oil asap.
I am not 'just saying'. I am saying.
Be safe all.
Everything is too little, too late. Nothing the U.S. attempts to do now will make any difference. Thousands are dead over there, and I would imagine that if that monster takes a stronghold again, he will systematically kill all those who protested. These are the times I think we should intervene because it's the right thing to do - when genocidal actions are happening, like in Rwanda and Sudan. And yet, those are the times when we so often stand by and watch.
Sanctions do more to hurt the people than the brutal dictator. Look at Km Jung Ill. Does he look like he's suffering form sanctions? In the mean time the German Red Cross reports that 10,000 North Koreans starve to death each...month. Yes 10,000.
Clueless Libs don't mind if their policies cause suffering and death just so long as people die quietly off camera.
Yeah, I'm typically against sanctions. What ends up happening is that the everyday people suffer, whilst the dictator becomes stronger and more ruthless.
