***UPDATED: INTERVIEW WITH STUDENT WHO TOOK DOWN SLASHER: 14 stabbing victims at Lone Star College Cy-Fair Campus

***UPDATE 2: Interview with one student who chased and took down suspect. Says suspect was deaf student:

***UPDATE: Here’s the latest I have as of 3PM:

They police are saying there is only 1 suspect and they believe he was running from building to building stabbing different people. They aren’t ready to declare weapon as they say some have said it was a pencil and others a knife. Two of the victims refused hospital care, 4 were serious enough to be transported via LifeFlight helicopter and the other 8 were transported via ambulance.

More below:

FOX NEWS – Police got the initial report at 11:15 a.m. A suspect with a knife was reported on the sprawling campus on the Northwest side of Houston and there were reports of multiple stab victims. The school was placed on lockdown. The length of the attack is unclear, but the suspect was reportedly taken down by a student. Police could not immediately verify that report.

Local reports say a student in a classroom used an X-ACTO knife and began to attack fellow students and ran out of the room. Police could not immediately confirm the reports.

One student said the attack sounded like a rock concert and heard someone scream in pain. At that point, students went back into their classrooms, the student said.

Initial reports said there were two suspects, but police say it was likely to be one suspect who ran from different areas during the time of the attack.

“The initial reports said we have two suspects, but what I believe now is it was the same person running from building to building,” a police spokesman said at a press conference .

This is developing, but apparently we have a mass stabbing on our hands today:

HOUSTON FOX 26 – The Cy-Fair Volunteer fire department is confirming there are multiple stabbing victims on the Lone Star College Cy-Fair Campus, located on West Road and Barker Cypress in north Harris County.

Robert Raza, a spokesman with Cy-Fair EMS, confirmed there were 14 total victims, 12 of whom were taken to hospitals.

Raza initially told FOX 26 News that five people were stabbed in the Health Science Center building, with one of the victims was taken by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital, two others taken by ambulance to another hospital. Some of the first reports were from witnesses on campus via social media.

UPDATE: Fox News front page says one suspect is in custody and one is still at large.
