Condell sees Islam as the bigger threat currently but if and when Islam is defeated any and all other religions will be threat. Furthermore people like Condell will be in great position on that score because people will have willingly given him the microphone and platform for their own defeat. Does this sound familiar? Without giving away the plot, two points that are immediately relevant to Condell's post: 1) One of the early leaders of the Palestininan movement actually consorted with the Nazis' 2) The Arab leaders and sheiks voted to not help Palestine, when doing so would have given the Palestinians Jerusalem, hoping to use the Palestinians as fodder in perpetuity.
As I read the Old Testament as a kid, I never understood why God would command the Israelites to kill every man, woman and child in the lands they conquered.
Now as an adult, I understand that these same people are the ones who still to this day who are the cause of so much death and suffering throughout the world.

In the meantime, the Bible says thewre will be "peace" in the middle East that will last for three and one half years. It makes it clear it will be a Fake Peace, by the enmies of Israel, as they regroup and organize a Final Conflict. This is the three and a half years of Tribulation that leads to the return of Jesus Christ.

To the extent the media reports from places like gaza and Lebanon also raises the question as to how much they are intimidated by their hosts to only report a certain perspective. And it's not helpful to sit there 'praying' for the enemies of Israel to be destroyed, rather than actually doing something about it by spreading the word and making good arguments against Islam and for why it should be destroyed as an ideology. Mysticism doesn't help anyone under these circumstances. What's needed is a reality-centric pro-reason approach that recognizes the problem, how to solve it, and then the resolve to actually go through with what's required.
Who said anything about praying that these people would be destroyed? What will be, put simply, will be - and there's nothing I can do about that. Stating what I believe as a statement of fact is not wishing destruction on people who I would prefer come to know Jesus and abandon Islam, but rather just pointing out what will happen in the end.
Also it's not mysticism, it's Christianity based on the Bible. The same Bible in which God said he would bring back the Jewish people from many nations into their land...the land of Israel. 1948.
When you accept claims without evidence or proof, and when they contradict your senses and reason, then that is mysticism.

Yes, faith is used in this context, because the corollary of mysticism is faith. It's never reason; it's always faith. Reason is antithetical to mysticism. Reason is the corollary of objective reality.
Every system of belief is guilty of this, there is a reason the word faith is used in such context.

The media likes to focus on the plight of the "Palestinians" yet they ignore the atrocities by Muslims elsewhere such as Hamas, Sudan, the Philippines, and India/Pakistan. The media refuses to address these conflicts because it undermines the liberal view on Islam and the Israeli/Arab conflict. It shows that anywhere a large Muslim population comes into contact with a non-Muslim population it seeks to destroy it. This truth requires one to take a moral stand, to say one side is right and another side is wrong, to say that one religion and culture is better than another. They cannot admit that. To do so would upset the entire basis on which their philosophy rests.
What the RS defines as 'brilliant,' is really nothing more than everyday common sense. Read the Hamas charter. Pat isn't bound by the PC that hobbles the U.S. media. End of story.
If it were truly "common" sense, then everyone would have it. Sadly, most of us are aware that the "common" is conspicuously absent in the "sense" of most people.

The Islamic world is much like Hitler's Germany, but it never ends. Germans were led into accepting totalitarianism, but it wasn't their history, or religion. Islam does not prevail in a free society, so when a society is run by Muslims, they have no chance. The US has not prosecuted these wars in such a way as to remove Islam from leadership, and therefor they will never have freedom, and they will always be totalitarian societies. Any wars we fight without this concept being acknowledged will be fought in vein.

I read a good portion of the Koran, and when I came to the verse that said "infidels deserve death, especially Christians and Jews", I figured that was all I needed to know.
