Cardinal-Designate Timothy Dolan got a crash course “Obama is a liar 101″. Now before you just dismiss this as “you mean he’s just now realizing that Obama is a liar???”, consider how potentially devastating this is for Obama’s credibility considering who is now saying this. Who is going to suggest Dolan is simply being politically expedient? And while he’s very polite, Dolan doesn’t mince words that’s very disappointed that Obama would back down after giving his word on several occasions that his administration wouldn’t infringe on the religious liberty of the Catholic church:

With 54% of Catholics who voted for Obama, somebody better start catching on!

"You have to pinch yourself – a Marxist radical who all his life has been mentored by, sat at the feet of, worshipped with, befriended, endorsed the philosophy of, funded and been in turn funded, politically promoted and supported by a nexus comprising black power anti-white racists, Jew-haters, unrepentant former terrorists and Chicago mobsters, is on the verge of becoming President of the United States. And it's considered impolite to say so!" - Melanie Philips, ( UK ) 10/14/08

These "faith-based institutions" are businesses - NOT churches....BIG businesses. The government is trying to protect the freedom of their employees, not to limit it! Seriously: The bottom line is that absolutely NO ONE is coming into our Churches or places of worship and telling believers what to believe.....or forcing them to use contraception. BUT If the Bishops (and other denominations) want to continue running businesses outside of their places of worship...businesses that employ millions of people of varying faiths -or no "faith" at all- THEN they must play by the same rules and rights that other workers live by and enjoy (especially if their businesses use our tax dollars, and skip paying taxes, in the process). If the Jehovah's Witnesses church hires me, can they alter my health insurance to exclude blood transfusions? Even worse- what if they operated a hospital by their “rules”? This is not a “war on religion”. Never was. However, it IS a war BY some religions... on women and men who simply want to plan their families, to control their futures, to keep their jobs, and to have health insurance that allows them to do that. if the Cardinal wishes to be a politician instead of a preacher, and wishes to use his pulpit for that purpose, rather than a place of worship, then he should give up his tax exemption.

He and every other Socialist clergy should've known this in 2007! The evidence was clear and readily available!

I shouldn't, but I expect certain demonstrative qualifications of those with titles ("Cardinal", "Reverend", Afro-American, etc.), that some [voters] accept just because of those titles, to be just a tad bit smarter, and more aware, than those of us that they purport to speak for and influence, of what they're asking us to buy into.

But even title-ist me knew that candidate [U.S. Senator] Obama supported infanticide [Baby MURDER. . .aka: "partial birth abortion"] while he was still a State Senator [IL]. . .those who vote should really check the record of the one(s) that they're voting for, huh(?). . .so why is anyone surprised now by anything he attempts to put forth, now that you suckers (now there's an appropriate title, huh?) elected him POTUS. . .especially anyone who's a part of the "Catholic" Church (you knew, or should have known all these things), and especially my fellow Blacks who claim to Name THE NAME of JESUS CHRIST by calling themselves "christians"?

Well, actually, I can receive because when I read through the requirements I meet them. Secondly, many Catholics receive the Eucharist who are divorced and technically cannot but do and the priests don't stop them; thirdly, many monasteries, where I go for retreats, allow anyone to receive the Eucharist...."Jesus welcomes everyone to the table." They only expect you to show respect.

I would have thought that a Cardinal would have been smart enough not to believe Obama in the first place! Oh, well, better late than never!

I would vote for Charles Manson over obama at this point.

I pray that Obama loses every Catholic vote in his bid for re-election. When he was elected most Catholics supported him, not me and I am a Catholic.

Flagler was just promoted in Chicago....politics in the church. This is what the founders wanted to prevent. Now the church is being supplanted with political activists for the defensive line of this administration.

"Each bishop works in his particular diocese in a priestly, shepherding and teaching role. He

possesses the fullness of the priesthood and so is the principal celebrant of the Sacraments,

especially the Eucharist, by which the Church grows in holiness and union with Christ. He is

also the chief shepherd of the diocese and so is responsible for compassionate and loving

governance of the people entrusted to him. And he is the chief teacher of his diocese,

responsible for authentic proclamation of the Gospel." (USCCA 133)

I think most actually expire at the earliest opportunity. For those of us who pay attention, it's obvious that he never intended to keep any of them in the first place, but he lies so effortlessly he makes Bill Clinton look like an amateur.

I was raised Catholic, but do not practice that religion. However, I occasionally go to mass because I like the Eucharist. During the 2008 campaign, I attended daily mass for a while at a large basilica in the area. The church was staunchly pro-life, but I would still see all of these bumper stickers in the parking lot for Obama. I thought is was pretty horrible. Then, the day after the election, I went to mass just to get away from hearing the name of Obama, and the very first thing the priest said was something about how we had this new president Obama..he soumded happy to me. It really ruined my day...stopped going to mass after that.

No matter what though the Mass is still the Mass and its meaning never changes. After being in Evangelical Protestantism for over 20 years I returned to the Catholic Church 7 years ago and have never been happier! I am home and at much peace. I love the Church and the Mass and adoration, the prayers, and all the other beautiful things that encourage me and point my heart to the cross and to His love for me! When I start to feel disappointed at the people or priest for whatever reason I am reminded by the Mass the true purpose of my time at church!

The mysticism of the Catholic church is what draws me also; Theresa of Avila has been an important guide and teacher for me. So, I do respect the teachings, but if I go too often the patriarchy stuff gets me so angry; I swear I will go back when women can be priests, which was about to happen except Pope John XXIII died. Blessings.

Many members of the Catholic church, namely nuns, supported Obama care knowing that this type of thing was in there. Now they are upset. Are they naive, stupid, gullible, or what? I don't get it, but I'm glad they are finally waking up.

This has to be a clear violation of the separation of church and state, isn't it? It's the very purpose of the Constitution...to prevent this type of thing from happening. Oh, I forgot, we don't care about that old piece of paper called the constitution anymore....it's antiquated. This is one reason I support Ron Paul; the only constitutionalist running for POTUS.

While I will fight this mandate with everything I have (its a clear violation of the 1st Amendment), I do have a hard time pulling together much sympathy for the Catholic church. I had to listen endlessly to how it was our Christian duty to be sure those who couldn't afford it were covered by insurance. Apparently to the Catholic churches here in progressive land, Obamacare was the answer to that. Now that the rules are the same across the board, it's a whole different tune.

This was predestined to happen. If it's not overturned, it WILL spread to other religious organizations as well as churches. Of that, there is no doubt.

I have a christian friend who joined the Catholic church quite a few years back.

The leftist influence was so pervasive she withdrew and joined a different denomination. I can't say all Catholic churches are so infiltrated but I wouldn't be surprised to learn there are many who's leftist leanings are more important than actual scripture which is why she left.

I am of the mindset that when someone shows you who they are, BELIEVE THEM. If the majority of Americans also had this mindset in 2008, we would not be in the hell that we are in now. I do sympathize and support the Catholics and Evangelicals who are being persecuted by Obama. However, if *this* issue is what it takes to convince them that they have contributed to putting a malevolent narcissist in our White House, so be it.

Every Obama promise comes with an expiration date. Some expire more quickly than others.
