Had a feeling they were referring to the budget proposal the WH gave as the administration’s plan. That should have opened up an attack over the intent to add 9 trillion to the debt as the Dem plan for the country and how adding so much debt is likely to destroy the U.S. credit rating. The issue has to be re-framed because we are in a position to take the fall by offering a weak plan that does little to combat the problem.

Obama wants us to default to blame Republicans for the economy, conservatives want either a balanced budget or a default.

It is not the presidents jobs to come up with a plan, he is just to sign it or veto it.

It may not be the Presidents “job” to come up with a plan, but it sure would help if he had anything to add besides sticking it to the people. And dont give me the crap about oh its the ones who make too much money… It touches everyone somehow eventually. The fact is this is one hell of an inept President. The rhetoric on the left turned up about 50 degrees today. You can tell that the TEA Patriots are really getting under the skin of the elites up there. All I’ve seen today in the media and online is a full court press to make us citizens who care about fiscal responsibility look like kooks from mars….Unbelievable, but not really.

Off topic, sorry. McCain read a Wall Street journal piece on the floor today that refers to “tea party hobbits” and which trashes Sharon Angle and Christine O’Donnell. (Levin played the clip). I’m so sick of McCain and just need to vent that how dare he malign us, the people, who held our noses and supported him anyway. He is a disgrace. Hero, Shmero. I’d like to rip the medals off his chest.

Ed Henry once again pushed the White House on when they will publicly release Obama’s plan, or at least send it to the CBO for analysis. Carney defended the fact that they don’t have a plan on paper and then accused Henry of creating a ‘thing’ for Fox News, replete with eye-rolling and condescension to boot:

Bottom line is Obama doesn’t have a plan because he doesn’t want to take a risk and lose politically. It’s all about 2012 for him, country be damned. But then hey, what’s new?
