Bolton: Is Obama signaling that we accept Iran as a nuclear power?

Bolton seems pretty confident when attributing the selling of arms to the Persian Gulf Arab states as a continuation of the Bush administration policies to help protect the Arab states if Iran were to retaliate from an Israeli strike. But he also worries this could be be a sign that the Obama administration is willing to accept Iran as a nuclear power and are beefing up defenses in the Gulf Arab states to create a ‘defense umbrella’ for the region, as Hillary Clinton mentioned last year.

John Bolton: Obama’s Nobel speech was shallow and sophomoric

I haven’t had a chance to listen to the speech yet, but if it was anything like the speech Obama gave to the UN in NY, it was heavy on the “I love the UN”. I gather from Bolton that I’m not far off base. And that should frighten us all.

Bolton: It’s like a slow motion train wreck watching Obama’s decision making process

According to Greta, Obama has rejected all the current options on sending troops to Afghanistan. Meanwhile there is a substantial increase in the number of troops getting wounded in Afghanistan:

Far from winding down, the numbers of U.S. soldiers coming home wounded have continued to swell. The problem is especially acute among those fighting in Afghanistan, where nearly four times as many troops were injured in October as a year ago.

Amputations, burns, brain injuries and shrapnel wounds proliferate in Afghanistan, due mostly to increasingly potent improvised bombs targeting U.S. forces. Snipers’ bullets and mortar rounds also are to blame.

At least 1,800 troops were wounded in Afghanistan in the first 10 months of this year, about 40 percent of all the wounded U.S. troops in Afghanistan since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Nearly 1,000 of those injuries occurred in the last three months.

I’m no math major, but we’ve know about these troop requests since August, and the word was that the President wanted to reevaluate his strategy in Afghanistan with regard to sending more troops.  I guess that makes somewhere between two and three months that he’s been reevaluating. This is just getting ridiculous.  I know these decisions are important, but we have the brightest minds in Washington working on this, and now we find out two and a half months later that the only decision Obama has made is to reject all the options on the table? For crying out loud, he’s a community organizer! What does he know about war? He needs to decide something while are troops lives are at stake!

Here’s John Bolton on the matter:

Glenn Beck’s Interview with Lord Christopher Monckton on Climate Change Treaty and One World Government

UPDATE: I’ve posted Glenn Beck’s full hour Television interview with Lord Monckton and John Bolton.

Given all the talk about Lord Monckton’s Speech regarding the Climate Change Treaty at Copenhagen, Glenn Beck had him on the radio this morning to unravel his claims a bit more.

Enjoy.

Update: I believe this is the treaty he is talking about.  I picked it up from WUWT.

Video: John Bolton on Iran and Reagan on Poland – All from Hannity on June 22, 2009

I’ve sat and watched this crisis in Iran unfold and haven’t taken a side on how Obama is doing in his reaction to Iran.  But after seeing this cut of Reagan’s speech to Poland in 1981 when the people were crying out for freedom, I believe I’ve formed my opinion:

It’s clear that we have a chance to use our authority in the free world to influence Iran’s oppressive government just as Reagan intended to influence Poland’s oppressive government.  And we don’t have to drop missiles or troops to do it.

John Bolton weighed in on the Iran crisis, saying Obama is being disingenuous when he says he doesn’t want the US to be misrepresented by the Iranian government – he’s really trying to keep negotiations open with regard to Iran’s nuclear program.  This is also what Krauthammer said on Geraldo.

CPAC 2009 Photos – February 26

CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) was held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington DC.  I attended with a great friend of mine Akir Khan and was able to hear some of the greatest speakers in the conservative political arena.  I had great seats and was able to capture a few moments from some of Day 1.

Enjoy the photos.
