Glenn Beck goes nuclear on Tom Hanks and our foreign policy

This is a long clip, but it’s a great discussion clip. The clip starts out with Beck vehemently responding to Hanks’ remarks that WWII was about racism and terror. But then it evolves into something even juicier. Around the 3:30 mark, Beck begins to talk about his ideal for our foreign policy, which reminded me alot of Ron Paul, and then it becomes an argument between Beck & Pat vs Stu on what we should or should not be doing with our military around the world.

I would weigh in with my thoughts, but to be honest I am torn between the arguments that Beck & Stu are making. I will say that I’ve never been a proponent of nation building, as George Bush advocated back in the 2000 Presidential debates. Off the cuff the idea of responding with force to someone who attacks us and then letting them put the pieces back together has some merit but I can also see the good that’s been done in Iraq from staying with them through this process and helping them develop a government that will make them more stable.

Also, if you don’t listen to the end there’s a good chance you could misunderstand what Beck’s reasons are for his stance, and his time-line of when it should happen.

I look forward to a good discussion here. Enjoy the video:

Glenn Beck Show Discussion – March 11, 2010

Heres your discussion thread. Its a bit ironic that Beck says to pass this show on to your friends. Ah the irony.

Todays topic is the extremes in American history. Ill post clips as soon as Fox makes them available.

The clips were here before but Fox is blocking me from using their material that they provide. I’m not sure why they are picking only on me because there were and still are others out there that they know about. Yet I seem to be the subject of their rather. Sorry guys, but unless Fox lifts their block I can’t post their clips on my site. :(

Glenn Beck questions the selling of private land to the government

This is a great topic for discussion. Beck has a problem with people buy landing and selling to the government, taking it out of the private sector potentially in perpetuity. Stu makes the argument that a person who buys land you can sell it to whomever you want whether it be the government or a private citizen. I think they both make great arguments, but I think Beck’s problem should be the government’s policy of buying and keeping the land and not selling it off. I agree with Stu’s argument more and I think the burden of responsibility lies with the government. There would need to be policies set in place to maintain that the government cannot simply buy land with the sole purpose of keeping it out of the private sector needlessly. In other words, the government should have a dang good reason for owning any piece of land. Otherwise the land should be put it up for sale back into the private sector.

Be sure and listen to the whole clip to hear the arguments to their fullest:

Glenn Beck to Michelle Malkin: You were right!

I had a feeling this was coming, and I’m glad it did because I think we were all thinking the same thing: Michelle was right!

BTW, is it me or does Michelle Malkin have THE best voice or what?!?! She’d be perfect for an NPR-style radio show, especially with her views. Maybe she should consider her on radio show cause that’d be awesome!

UPDATE: I swapped the video out for the insider extreme edition. This is what you are missing if you aren’t an insider extreme subscriber!

Beck talks more Massa this Mornin

I’m posting this as a follow up to Beck’s TV show interview that was pretty much a disaster. The only saving grace was that Massa pretty much hung himself in terms of being at all credible now.

You won’t be surprised that the focus of much of this is on the tickling comment.

If the video doesn’t load please click here

Glenn Beck’s Show with Massa.

I don’t think this is the whole show, but it’s as much as Mediaite has posted.

The funny thing is that Glenn Beck actually apologizes toward the end of the show for wasting our time. It’s a very frustrating show because Massa refuses to break out of his political shell and won’t answer Beck’s questions directly. He’s a dirtbag!

NOTE: This is not my content. It belongs to Mediaite who makes it available for embedding

Fox News LLC and the Glenn Beck Show Part II

Ok everyone.

I’ve put a lot of thought into this, but can only come to one conclusion: that I must stop posting the Glenn Beck Show or Stossel. They are now actively monitoring this site thanks to Schubert and are removing from youtube any of their videos I post, no matter who uploaded it to youtube, no matter how short. And because they are not watching my every move, they will probably just chase me around anywhere I go.

It’s their content, so it’s their decision. And Schubert’s, of course. Thanks for that buddy.

There are other places that post the Glenn Beck Show, and I hope you find them. If I mention it here I’m sure Fox News will take them down too.

I will continue to post everything else I have been posting, so I hope you don’t leave.

Sorry about all of this. You’ve got Schubert to thank.

Fox News LLC and the Glenn Beck Show

I got hit again today and my youtube account got deleted. Another account from a different user also got hit.

I am not giving up yet on finding the show and embedding it, but I ask you to please be patient. I am not sure what time tonight the show will be posted, but I’ll have it here as soon as I possibly can.

Also, I am up for suggestions on how to keep this going.

Thanks

UPDATE:

from: Schubert
subject: You post them, I’ll report them to Fox.

Message body:
Yep, it was me that reported your blog to Fox Legal.
I’m glad they got around to it so soon (pretty fast!)

It kinda sucks because I rely on your youtube
page to watch Glenn Beck (and Stossel!)

However, I won’t have Beck’s message distorted
by your pal Cubachi or the other neo-can garbage
that’s creeping into this site. Posting that clip
from that weasel Frank Luntz also turned my stomach. I even sent you a counter-argument
to that piece of shit and you opted to ignore it (it’s your right to do so).

So keep up the ‘good fight’, and post anti-constitutional garbage.

i’ll be sure to keep checking in and REPORTING any
COPYRIGHT VIOLATIONS you make.

It IS your blog, but NOT your clips.

Your friend,

Schubert

Uh oh – Eric Massa being investigated for groping male staffers

I wonder if Glenn Beck is considering canceling his interview with Massa:

Former Rep. Eric Massa has been under investigation for allegations that he groped multiple male staffers working in his office, according to three sources familiar with the probe.

The allegations surrounding the New York Democrat date back at least a year, and involve “a pattern of behavior and physical harassment,” according to one source. The new claims of alleged groping contradict statements by Massa, who resigned his office on Monday after it became public that he was the subject of a House ethics committee investigation for possible harassment.

Massa had said that the allegations were limited to his use of “salty language” with his staff. He apologized for making some inappropriate comments and argued he was being unfairly villified. Days later, Massa accused the White House and Democratic congressional leaders of trying to oust him from office to improve their chances of passing health care reform legislation. Massa could not be reached for comment Tuesday, and no one answered the phone at his home in New York or his campaign office. Staff at his former congressional offices declined to relay messages to him and said they did not know how to reach him.

It’s like I said yesterday, his quick retirement didn’t smell right.

Glenn Beck apologizes to Michelle Malkin

Just a few seconds in you are going to be thinking “what kind of apology is this?” Well, if you hang on to the end of the clip, you will get to hear the actual apology. It’s there, and I think he really means it.

Also, be sure and check out Ed Morrissey’s take on the disagreement.
