I never thought I’d see the day where Jon Stewart was actually complimentary towards Sarah Palin. He even gives accolades to her first attempt in stand-up comedy on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.’
In this video, Stewart also juxtaposed Sarah Palin’s approach and style of talk to Mitt Romney, when he appeared on David Letterman’s show the same night. Stewart said “Mitt Romney is always going to be Gore to Palin’s Bush.”
Looks like Palin is winning the left over one step at a time.

Sarah Palin went on Jay Leno tonight and aside from the typical interview she did a standup comedy bit. I was nervous, but I’m not sure why because she was fabulous. I do wish that during the interview Jay would have asked more personal questions so that maybe we would have learned something we didn’t already know. Seems like every interview she does is about the tea parties…and whether or not she’s the leader.
All in all it was a great night for her. Enjoy the show:
Obama opened up the Health Care Summit Kabuki Theater by talking about how he “reads” 10 letters every night that have mostly to do with people who can’t get insurance. That’s when Glenn and Pat find their inner voice:
Tony from Harlem is a black conservative who has more sense than most people I know. He goes after Michelle Obama’s recent tactics on curing the ‘fat problem’ and will have you falling out of your chair in laughter (unless you’re on a treadmill like Cubachi, then you better brace yourself!)
Enjoy:
Oh man this is awesome. He starts with King’s interview of Biden and then moves to the Patterson interview. The whole thing is hilarious, in true Beck form.
Hilarious:
The last time Beck eviscerated Joe Klein, it was over his Time Magazine article that accused American’s of being too stupid to understand what’s best for them. This time Klein went after Sarah Palin, saying that her speech amounted to anti-intellectual drivel.
Beck eviscerates him again, and this time it’s even better (and funnier).
John McCain’s daughter gives herself the title “Progressive Republican” and that caught Beck’s attention. I can imagine that as soon as she said that on TV, Beck had one of those “I see dead people” moments where the room gets really cold and and his breath crystallizes in front of him. Anyway, he spent the better part of an hour making fun of Meghan McCain, partly for the reasons she used to define her brand of ‘progressivism’. She’s basically a socially liberal Republican but has no idea what being a ‘progressive’ really means.
In the second segment Beck seems to have had a ‘if she wants to be a progressive then I’ll call her a progressive’ moment during the break as he just talks about her as if she really is a true progressive Republican. Either way there’s plenty of ‘valley girl mockery’ in both segments for your pleasure.
My favorite quote from Beck is from the beginning of part two (insert valley girl mockery accent):
I consider myself a progressive Republican cause I like progress. I like progress so much. I like to progress. I like to come like, for instance, Larry, in the studio, I like if I wouldn’t have progressed I’d still be sitting in the car cause I like progress so I got out of the car and then I closed the door and then I took a couple of small steps and before I knew it I was in your studio. I like progress.

This is just funny:
