Mark Levin: Slaughter Rule is the most brazen assault on a fundamental aspect of our republic, EVER!

Hearing this makes me want to start listening to Mark Levin again every night. Besides I’m getting tired of O’Reilly and Hannity.

Mark lays out the case very clearly: the slaughter rule is completely unconstitutional and if they proceed this way it will create a constitutional crisis. To forgo a vote on the bill and vote on a rule that deems the bill passed is theft from the citizens of this great country. They are not just changing the rules to pass their government entitlement program, but they are stealing from the tax payer to do it. And regardless of whether or not they actually go this route, the simple fact that they are entertaining it reveals who they are and what they are interested it: fundamentally changing our republic into a democratic socialist republic. These power hungry zealots believe this is their time and won’t stop until we are in bread and cheese lines at some DMV-turned government food station. It’s disgusting!

Glenn Beck Show Discussion – March 15, 2010

I apologize for the late post. I’ll be posting videos as soon as I get them.

Disucss!

UPDATE: Here are the videos. If I have them in the wrong order, please let me know.

Congressman says American people don’t care how they pass Health Care Reform

The epitome of arrogance and quite offensive.

This is exactly why these congressmen will be kicked out in November. They are elitist and all they care about is power and control. For Rep. John Larson to suggest that the American people don’t care what ‘rule’ they use to pass HCR means that he in fact doesn’t care what we think and he doesn’t want us to care about what he’s doing. Just keep drinking your hot chocolate and watching movies. Don’t worry about the tornado that’s heading right for your house. It’ll all be over with soon.

After the year we’ve had with angry town halls and tea parties, there’s no excuse for this comment.

Glenn Beck to Jim Wallis: The hammer is coming

The entire segment is good but if you want to skip ahead to Beck’s response to Wallis, it comes around 3:10:

“And when the hammer comes, it’s going to be hammering hard and all through the night, over and over. There are years of video and audio, things I bet that you didn’t even know were recorded. It’s weird how people all over the world have been sending me stuff.”

UPDATE: I had misspelled his last name. Thanks to adams7kids for the correction.

‘Reconciliation’ Bill is posted

2309 pages. Download PDF here.

Via Philip Klein at American Spectator:

Shortly before midnight on Sunday, Democrats released a 2,309 page health care bill that will start the process of reconciliation — but don’t let that fool you, it’s not the actual reconciliation bill with all the changes you’ve been reading about. Instead, as Rep. Paul Ryan, the ranking Republican member on the Budget Committee, explained to me last week, this is just the “shell” bill — the vehicle that Democrats need to get moving on health care. Once the bill gets approved (likely Monday), Democrats will send this phantom bill over to the Rules Committee, where it will be  stripped, and then they’ll insert in all of the actual changes that they’ve negotiated.

Why all of the theatrics?

Well, under the reconciliation rules in last year’s budget, any reconciliation bill would have to have been submitted to the Budget Committee by October 15, 2009. It just so happens that earlier versions of health care legislation cleared the Ways and Means and Education and Labor Committees last year. So Democrats just dusted that legislation off, and are using that as the vehicle to begin the reconciliation process. That’s why, for instance, if you look through the 2,309 page bill that was released Sunday night, you’ll find a public option, which leadership has indicated would not actually be in the final bill. (Interestingly, the student loan bill is also tacked on at the end.)

I’m not sure how this whole thing is legal. Not only is this NOT the Senate bill, but they haven’t even passed anything. How can they reconcile something they haven’t passed?

I hate Statists!

The New York Times has seen the light

And that light is Obamamessiah (via JammieWearingFool)

Take note that the White House is at the foot of the cross. Obama is so great that HE transcends even that lowly estate of the White House. America is but a stepping stool to this man.

Wow, I guess I need to go wash my mind out with soap now.

Obama Advisor: Is Beck man enough to converse with me about Social Justice?

They are coming out in full force to try and make Christians hate Glenn Beck and their main tactic is to suggest that Beck is against social justice, a ‘perceived’ core tenant of the Bible. But the problem with this argument is that the Bible doesn’t say that the government should take care of the poor or that we should advocate for the government to solve our poverty problems, i.e. social justice. The Bible instructs us as individuals to love the poor and to take care of them. It’s called charity. Further more, it isn’t some law that we must obey because it’s there, it something that we do because Christ changed our hearts and we want to do it.

I love how people like to use the section in Acts where everyone in the community sold what they had so that no one would be poor. They like to use this as an example of what Obama is bringing to the table. But it’s not. It was charity. They as individuals did it of their own accord without the government telling them what to do or doing it for them. It wasn’t government wealth distribution as Obama wants to enact (on a larger scale than present). It was charity.

It’s clear, if you listen to Beck, that he is talking about social justice from the standpoint of government being the answer to our needs. In fact the photo labeled ‘charity’ in this post is one that Beck painted himself. But those who want to smear him will continue in this vain because their motives are evil. It’s that simple. They need to shut him up and they are doing everything in their power to make it happen.

I guess they think that the American people are stupid, that we who listen to Beck aren’t smart enough to distinguish between their smear and what Beck is really saying. And that is why come November that they will lose their super majorities and perhaps even their majorities.

Sarah Palin at Orange County Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Day fundraiser

The audio isn’t great, but you should be able to understand it. I’m still listening to it, so I may come back with something more later if need be. But I will go ahead and share with you my favorite quote thus far regarding Robert Gibbs making fun of her recent hand writing:

Come on Robert Gibbs, you guys really, in a White House press conference, you have nothing better to do at a time like this? You know I kind of wanted to shout out to the TV at he, Gibbs who represents the President of the United States of America in a White House press conference, “really you’ve got nothing better to do here? You’re boys are in the house perpetuating problems in our country resulting in huge job losses, high unemployment, negative economy, and by the way remember guys we’re a country at war. You’ve got nothing better to concentrate on?” With issues like that I say, “Washington and the media elite, quit disrespecting the wisdom of the American people!”

Scott Brown skewers the Democrats for their ‘Disastrous Detour’

Scott Brown harshly criticizes the Dems of promising jobs yet still focusing on this health care plan that the American people do not want. He calls it their ‘disastrous detour’ and he’s right on the money.

Shep Smith enjoys benefits from NCAA copyright infringement

Boy, isn’t this timely. They rightly accuse me of infringing on their copyright and yet Shep Smith is viewing an “illegal website” to watch Ole Miss vs Tennessee while doing the news. Sounds to me like this ‘illegal website’ in france is infringing on the copyright of the NCAA. I wonder if there will be any fallout from this, as there should be since they certainly don’t want others violating their copyright.
