CBS News merely reports Obama’s flip flop on Benghazi attack while grilling Romney over his 47% comment

As CBS Evening News opened tonight, Scott Pelley announced that President Obama said today that the murders of our ambassador and three other Americans “…wasn’t just a mob action” and then said that evidence is growing that the murders were “planned and targeted”:

And that’s it – on what many see as a huge scandal for the Obama administration. No comments regarding the fact that Obama sent his UN Ambassador to every news channel, including CBS News, to tell everyone it was the result of a mob action and a video. No questions about what evidence caused Obama to “change his mind”. Not even any questions about why the consulate was left with no security on 9/11. Nothing. It’s just the natural course of an investigation that has led Obama to this conclusion. Can’t spend any more time on it because there’s nothing dubious to see here, so move along.

Meanwhile, Scott Pelley made sure to play a part of his interview with Mitt Romney where he grilled Romney, basically accusing him of lying to the American people, following up twice to push Romney on this idea that he isn’t telling the American people the truth:

They know campaigns focus on certain groups of people to win over and yet they seem SHOCKED that Romney would admit it out loud. They feign outrage that he would fairly accurately assess people who are voting for Obama as people who believe in big government and believe it owes them something. Ugh.

Regardless, I wouldn’t so much mind this line of questioning if they treated both candidates the same. But this is all part of the demonization of Romney while they treat Obama with kid gloves.

I can’t wait to see their faces when Romney wins.
