CHART OF THE DAY: Where Obama projected unemployment would have been without the TRILLION dollar stimulus

Jim Pethokoukis has an interesting chart up today, plotting current unemployment numbers versus where Obama projected it would be with AND without the 2009 trillion dollar stimulus:

The top dotted line represents where unemployment is currently at today at 8.1%. However the most interesting thing about this chart is that it shows that Obama projected unemployment would have been less than 6% WITHOUT the stimulus, around 5.9%.

So basically this chart shows we would have been much better off without the trillion dollar stimulus given where we currently are.

Or what it really means is that this administration didn’t have a freaking clue what it was doing when it made these charts. It wanted to spend spend spend and created this chart just to try and swing public opinion toward approval.

This just proves Obama is nothing more than an empty suit laying on an empty chair.

Go read Pethokoukis’ entire report on unemployment today. It’s excellent.
