The new Governor of Hawaii wants to put this birther controversy to rest and wants the actual original birth certificate released and Chris Matthews agrees. Citing a poll by the NY Times, Matthews argues that if 43% either don’t believe he was born here or are not sure, then maybe it really is time to release it. Of course he’s only saying this to help Obama get back some votes he may have lost due to this conspiracy, especially since Obama isn’t polling that well these days. I guess Obama needs all the help he can get. It’s also possible he’s just trying to stir this up again, however with the elections so far away I kinda doubt it. One thing we do know for sure though is that Matthews would do anything to get that tingle back up his leg again, even if it means having to stoop so low as to actually side with the birthers just to end the controversy and help Obama.
