This clip is great on several levels. Matthews and Maddow are actually disagreeing right there on air, and as much as it pains me to say so, Matthews seems to live closer to reality than Maddow. He understands that the people of Mass. sees that taxes coming for all these entitlement programs while Maddow is still denying that Obama has even raised taxes as of yet.
But my favorite line is from Chris Matthews, and he’s right for a change!:
“I look at the numbers and I am worried. I am worried about this government committing itself to so many entitlement programs and committing itself to such a level of taxation to support those entitlement programs…”
