Chu: Overall goal is to reduce dependence on oil, not to reduce gas prices

Obama’s Energy Secretary admitted yesterday that the administration’s goal isn’t to reduce the price of gasoline, but to make us less dependent on oil. Note, he didn’t say that we should reduce our dependence on foreign oil, but on oil itself.

Man, I can’t wait for my algae-powered car! (h/t: Fox Nation)

UPDATE: Notice that Chu says the administration is concerned about the “great suffering” people endure with high gas prices, yet he says the goal is still to reduce our dependence on oil. In other words, the prices must be high to force America on a different path, the “great suffering” of the American people be damned.

They are pushing for green energy on the backs of the poor and the so-called “middle class”. But it’s noble because they are doing it. Yeah, right.
